The twins were pretty wrecked by the time I dropped them off. I gave them both a big hug and told them to let me know if there was anything I could do to help. As I drove home my head was swimming with all the events that happened today. I met a wildly handsome man who I felt I could talk to forever, I met with a publisher who liked my work, and now I left it all behind to make sure my friends were okay.
I got home just in time to feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I had two messages, one from Miranda and another from an unknown number.
Miranda: Told your boy toy you were not coming. He seemed pretty bummed. Miss you guys. How are the twins?
It made me smile to think about Harvey.
