Chapter 36: Nora

Waking up from my surgery was awful. I have never felt so much pain in my entire life. Getting in the car accident felt way better than my leg did when I woke up. I started crying and whimpering immediately and my mother jumped out of the chair next to me and called for help. A nurse rushed in and injected something into my IV and quickly I didn't feel anything. The next day is kind of a blur to me. I kind of remember Miranda's face and my brother tossing a football in the air on repeat but I'm not really sure if any of that was real. When I woke up the next day my head was clear and my leg hurt but it was manageable. I tried to talk but my throat was like sandpaper.
