In the end, I couldn’t come up with a suitable reply. My brain was literally blank. I could only stare directly at Klaus as if under a spell.
“It seems I have managed to shock you again ”
“Yes…” I answered.
“I realize we didn’t get off to the most ideal start, but I hope we can make the best of our situation,” Klaus adds.
