Klaus was starting to get antsy. He had noticed Aurora walking out of the hall almost an hour ago, but he hadn’t seen her ever since. She had looked tired before leaving and he had half a mind to follow her then but he had been cornered by an Alpha wanting to speak with him about some business deal.
He noted that Aurora’s father was still at the party though. Maybe Aurora had retired to bed early, she didn’t seem like the type to enjoy partying anyway. Yet, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was not quite right. Or maybe he was just being paranoid, he was still new to the mate stuff after all.
He took a quick survey of the hall and grimaced when he realized that Michael, Aurora's ex-mate, was nowhere to be found either.
