The Heirs

And They Will Tempt You

    The sensation that overtook me as I entered the house it was addicting. There was an undeniable flow of chaos that ran through the building. Teenagers jumping up and down to the beat, and drinks being poured on a continuous cycle. I know that the second I go back home I will be scolded for my actions, but for now I want to be distracted. 

    "Are you ready princess?" Chase mouthed to me, it was hard to see with how dark the room was and the flashing lights but I believe I saw a wicked smile growing onto his face. 

    "Yes." mouthing back to him I felt his hand grab onto my arm. Chase led me through the crowd of people. I cant see the rest of them but somehow I know that they are following right behind us. I am reassured they are there when a finger hooks onto the back of my dress and I peek behind me to find Theo looking back at me. 

    I feel the sudden urge to join the crowd, I'm not thinking and I know it but I cant help myself. My mind and body are drawn to the speed of the music. I slide my hand out of chases and move away from Theos grip. I came with them to have fun, and not for them to stay by my side as if I was a lost puppy. 

    "I'm sorry!" I yell over loudness around us. Theo looks down at me as if trying to say move one more step I dare you. I decide to ignore his warning and disappear into the haze.

    I am instantly lost in a pool of people, but I  don't mind it. Its the kind of scary that's thrilling. I am approached by a boy that pulls me into him. I don't hesitate to dance with him. His hands wrap around my waist and guide my through the beat. He leans into me and places his chin on my shoulder, and I bring my arm up to the back of his head. The flashings lights make me feel ecstatic, and I am overcome with a electrifying excitement. 

    I don't realize when he leaves, but I am now aware that I'm dancing by myself again. It makes me feel bare without another body attached to me. I roam through the house and find my way to a table of people playing a game of beer pong. 

"Hey! you wanna join" A girl questioned me from the table, raising an eyebrow in my direction. I make a quick decision to agree. 

    For the next hour I am drinking small red cups of beer and failing to throw a ping pong ball. I know I should stop. I should walk away. But I cant, I love this feeling like I'm invincible. I'm laughing uncontrollably when I see from the corner of my eye Jackson stomping towards me.

    "Aeleria!" he drags me away from the table where I have been glued to. "What the f**k is wrong with you," he's pissed. "You cant just leave like that and scare the s**t out of us!" I am suddenly filled with guilt, that was a pretty idiotic move. I try to apologize sincerely, but all that comes out is a giggle. He looks at me in shock. "Jesus, your drunk." Jackson takes a hold of my wrist. "Come on."

    "I'm not drunk, I only played a couple rounds." I trail off and he just keeps walking.

    "There you are!" Chase, Noah and Theo come up to us. Chase and Noah look concerned but Theo just looks mad. 

    "Is she drunk?" Theo accuses, narrowing his eyes at me. 

    "No." I answer Theo.

    "Yes." Jackson insisted. I roll my eyes at him. I am struck with a dizziness and a watering in my mouth.

    "Fuck." I mumble under my breath. The boys don't hear me over them arguing about what they should do with me now, since they cant take me back drunk. I need to find a bathroom, like now. "guysss" I try to get their attention but they don't listen. I look around the room and my eyes stop on a door that has a cringy sign reading BATHROOM. Again I decide to leave the boys alone and stumble over to the bathroom. When I reach the door I can hear one of them scream.

    "AGAIN SERIOUSLY?!" Sorry Noah. 

    I throw the door open and lock it shut. Practically falling on the ground I make my way to the toilet. All the contents of my stomach are thrown up. God this is disgusting. 

    A pounding on the door makes me jump.

    "Aeleria, are you in there??!!" an urgent voice that I recognize as Chase yells through the wall. I flush the toilet and wipe my face off before going over to open the door.

    "Yeah." I answer. "Sorry, I was about to throw up, and I would have rather not do that in the middle of the floor."

    "We should leave" Jackson chimes in, and again they all silently agree.

    Were all pilling back into Chases black car, and driving back out onto the highway.

    "Thanks for that." I announce.

    "No problem, just next time maybe you shouldn't just go running off like that." Chase is trying to stay annoyed with me but I can tell his just a little bit amused with my actions.

    "Next time?" I add on.

    "Oh yeah princess your stuck with us now." Noah laughs at me. 

   They're so Tempting, the air around them is different and I feel as if they are showing me a new life, a new ending to my story. With them I'm not a delicate flower that they can bend to their will. I'm a girl that will do as she desires, they know they cant control me and that intrigues me. Just as their loyalty intrigues me. 

    I feel myself dozing off as the time goes by, my eyes flutter close and I lose consciousness. The last thing I hear is

    "Guys be quiet, she's asleep."

    I wake up to my head on Theos lap and my feet sprawled on top of Jackson. I don't know where we are, but the car has slowed down and the car is stopping. 

    "Wake up love"  still partially unconscious I'm guided into a house where I end up sprawled in a bed with a duvet cover being pulled over me. Still unsure of where I am I slip back into my sleep.
