“Everything?”
“Bear believed if every employee was trained to do everything, then no one could claim something wasn’t done because it wasn’t their job.”
“Smart. And Carli has continued with this practice?”
Alyssa shrugged. “Guess she saw no reason to change something that works.”
“One more thing. Can you help me move this desk away from the wall? It gets a little claustrophobic sitting back here.”
Fiona stood and wrapped her fingers around one side of the desk while Alyssa stepped up and did the same on the other side. The two-foot move caused the computer manual to fall off the end of the desk. The thud as it hit the floor had Alyssa jumping.
“Oh! Wow,” Alyssa said, realizing her overreaction to the fallen book, her hand going to her heart as she let out a nervous laugh.
