Alyssa had grabbed a muffin from the freezer, knowing it would thaw by the time she was on the other side of town. Mondays and Wednesdays were her early classes, and it allowed for some study time before she took KP on Wednesday nights. And because she was gone early, it meant the tours, morning KP, lunch prep, and guiding were up to Zach and J.J. She knew from working with them for the past few years that things at the lodge ran smoother when they were both busy. If there wasn’t much to do, or if there weren’t any clients registered, the two of them ended up creating a difficult predicament. Either they messed around until something broke, or one of them had a hair-brained idea they would attempt, only to have it end in a minor injury or the destruction of something.
