Pulling into his usual spot, he noticed the only vehicle missing was Ethan’s. Shaun opened the front door for Fiona and Ian, then paused before coming in and closing it behind him. Conversation stopped as all eyes turned toward him. J.J. and Sissy sat on the couch, Zach and Alyssa were across from them on another couch, and Carli relaxed in her favorite chair. There was a bottle of champagne on the low table in the center of the seating arrangement.
J.J. smiled at Ian as the boy ran to the group, talking excitedly about the fish he caught. He stood, setting his champagne flute on the table.
