Sissy’s porch light was off, the driveway empty, both vehicles having been towed away, and the mess by the front door was cleaned up. Vince assured both Sissy and J.J. he would drive by a few times tonight to make sure there wasn’t any more trouble. J.J. had offered to stay, but Sissy refused to interfere with his work schedule. He had a full day tomorrow, and she had the early shift at the Rockin’ R because Kim was taking a few days of vacation to see her brother in Boulder. Sissy admitted she was more pissed off than afraid. Not thinking Justin had the guts to return that night, she finally convinced J.J. to go with Zach, or she would make him sleep on the couch if he continued to be stubborn about returning to the lodge.
