“What now?” Judith asked, irritated as she heard violent coughs. She turned just to see a man laughing and coughing in the secluded corner. She sighed and walked away, asking Anna to help clean up the mess while she took her father's call. “Pray for me” she whispered as she passed Anna. “I will”, Anna snickered as she watched her friend cross a sign while walking to the elevator. “Good evening sirs, can I clean the table?” She had her head now “No need, I'll probably soil it again?” Tristan was still laughing at his friend, who seemed uninterested and looking at the open window again. He didn't even turn to look at Anna. “Alright, I'll be back if you need anything else”. Anna was about to go when she felt a hand stop her. “Please don't use a bottle on my head” Tristan quickly retrieved his hands and put it above his head. “Sorry sir, I wasn't going to”. Anna looked confused. “Oh, thank God” he moved his hands on his chest in circular motions to soothe his racing heart. “I don't think I've seen you around?” He smiled at Anna. “I'm new here, Sir” she wanted to get away from this man. She felt uneasy with the way he was talking with her, as if he knew her. “Welcome then…..” he wanted to use her name but acted naively. “Your name miss..?” “Anna” “Beautiful” he smirked. “Let the waitress go and do her job” Finally, Henry turned to look at his friend. “Your charm isn't going to work on her” he said casually before picking up his vibrating phone. He excused himself and went to the washroom. Anna wanted to just go and work. “Can I see outside work?” “No sir”, Anna replied almost instantly. “Damn, that's really heartbreaking”, he pretended to be hurt. “Alright, have a lovely morning, Miss Anna.” “Thank you”. Anna was more than relieved to walk away when she felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. She quietly ran off to the corridor that leads to the washroom to pick up the call. It was from the hospital. Her heart almost jumped out of her mouth. “Hello?” “Uhmm is this Miss Lumpkins?” She recognized Nurse Naomi’s voice. “Yes ma'am” “Can you go to the hospital? Right now?” “Is my mother alright?” Anna could hear her own heartbeat. “Well Mrs. Lumpkins woke up ten minutes ago, and we thought you might want to talk to her.” “Oh my God, really?” Anna couldn't hide her excitement. “Yes dear”, Naomi seemed to be excited about the girl. “I'm at work right now, but I'll be there around ten in”. She was getting the butterflies, finally something good. “Oh also….” But she couldn't hear the rest as the was an alarm, and nurse Naomi was called into the emergency room. “Hello ma’am, Mrs. Naomi’ “Sorry dear, but I need to go, something is happening to your mother” she just went off. “Wait what?” Anna was no longer doubting it. The whole world was truly against her. “Please answer me, please she was starting to have a breakdown. ‘God please’ Just then, she saw the other man who was nonchalant at the table earlier and that was when she decided this was the time to execute her plan. I had just finished a call with my grandfather, and that stubborn old man wouldn't back down with his silly threats. I felt so angry that he would give me a stupid condition like that. I was about to stomp out and get home when I saw a small figure who seemed to be making a call, but she was shaking. “She's a waitress from before”, I mumbled, ‘why does she look scared? Why is she shaking? No, it's none of my business. I should just go’. I looked up only to see her staring at me dead in the eye. Okay, that's a bit scary. “Are you okay?” I asked her, knowing she was not. She's a lunatic, she had broken a bottle man just because of a man touching Subconsciously, I looked to see if there was any dangerous object around. Thank God it's just a plain wall and reflective glass decorated on either side of the walls. “Do you want a wife?” She asked while slowly walking towards me. “What are…” she had crossed the distance and I tried to step backwards, but she had out her arms around my neck and brought me down her level. How the f*ck is this tiny hand so strong? But my mind clouded when soft but chapped lips touched mine. At first, it was salty and felt dry, then a mix of wine and a bit of tequila. “Hmmm” I wanted to peel her off me, but then I realized she didn't know what she was doing. She just pressed her lips onto mine but didn't move, and she was crying and her lips shaking. “Don't let go?” It was more of a plea than a request. “I won't let me take you somewhere else.” Why am I trying to be gentle with this girl? She doesn't seem like some holy virgin or inexperienced. She literally threw herself at me like some wh*re why can't I just do with her what I please and move on. “Let me cover your head” I covered her head with my coat, and walked her to the elevator. I had earlier reserved the president's reserve, if Tristan, and I got drunk, but now my plans have changed. I can't leave this girl here now. What if she kisses the very next man she sees? First she broke a man's head with a bottle. Next, she was crying, then hugged and kissed me. “We are here”, I said, because I couldn't take the grip on my hand. Why was she acting coy now that they were in a room? Or maybe she enjoyed outdoor s*x more? But before I could process anything, she was onto me again. Is this girl insane? Dear God help me. Tristan checked his wristwatch, only to see it was well past 6 in the morning. “Where the f*ck is that little rascal?” Tristan looked disappointed. He knew that Henry was a big fan of sneaking out of the party, but he didn't think he'd pull such a thing as his age. “Tristan” he heard a little gasp. “Sh*t” he whispered as he knew who exactly that was. “Tristan O. Levi” a curvy tall lady with blonde hair and blue eyes with vibrant red lipstick, approached him slowly. “Tracy Weatharman”, he stretched out his hands, which Tracy placed her delicate hands in and Tristan placed a gentle wetless kiss on her knuckles. “Still a gentleman I see” she chuckled. “And you are still a charmer I see”, he flashed her a smile. “A date or business?” She asked as she took the vacant seat of Henry. “Both, beautiful” he said as he sat elegantly in his seat. “The business look, huh?” She scoffed as she looked at the rest of the bar. “What do you mean?” Tristan acted ignorantly. “You men the half sitting on the seat, a very reserved smile, one hand on the glass and the on your chin” she scoffed again “that's the ‘do we have a deal or not’ Tristan look.” “Looks like you've done your homework?” He smiled. “Well you pick one or two if you have a Judge and a politician for parents”, she also smiled. “Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful” he gave her a raised glass that was already half empty. “You know I've always admired you” “When?” She looked amused. “Back in college when you dumped me for the ginger head or in Europe when you had a sizzling hot s*x in the bathtub with me and disappeared just before 6AM?” “Both” he smiled as he glanced at her lips. “I missed you.” “Did you now, Mr. Levi?” she said in a low seductive tone, dragging out each word. “Yes” his reply was almost a whisper. “Too bad I came here on a business trip with my fiancé”, she raised her left hand to flaunt her shining diamond. “Who's the lucky ba*tard?” He looked amused rather than displeased. “A man who won't leave before 6AM”, she winked as she walked away, swerving her delicious curves and just before disappearing in the elevator, she turned and blew him a kiss. “s**t now I'm hard” he chuckled.
