Once the presentation was over and the plane was in the air, Erin let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. Finally, the hard part really was over. All she had to do was enjoy the flight. The piece of grape bubble gum had long since lost its flavor, so she discarded it back into the wrapper and reminded herself to throw it in the trash later. She remembered one flight where Alec’s piece had somehow ended up in her hair, and she definitely didn’t need a repeat of that, especially after the coffee incident.
