Chapter 2

Crescent moon pack.

Alfred knocks on Alpha Stephan’s Office door, before entering in.

“ you are late” an annoying voice was heard

“ Did the witch keep you waiting?”

“ that’s enough Luci” Alpha Stephan scolded his Luna, one would hear her name and think she’s an angel well she’s not even though she looks like one. She’s same height with me but with blonde hair and baby blue eyes, she’s a meaner version of a b***h.

“ Why didn’t you report to the office as soon as I called you” he glares at me

“ I apologize Alpha, next time I’ll come in naked” I smile sweetly at him, this causes Alfred to chuckle earning him a glare from Alpha Stephan. Awkwardly clearing his throat while Lucinda shoots daggers at me with her eyes, he mutters a let’s get to business.

“ So the Rouge attacks have been increasing, what Is happening to the spells?”, I stare at him confused.

“ I’m sorry alpha but I do not know the extent of my powers, I’m doing the best I can actually”

“ Well try harder and be useful, you can’t be stupid and useless at the same time”

How dare she?, Stupid and useless? The moment these people realised what I could do they started trying to manipulate me into using my powers to save the pack and for greater good bullshit. Feeling my wolf surfacing, I clench my fist and my jaw, staring at her, I feel myself being overwhelmed with power,

“ I suggest you count your words carefully Lucinda, the Alpha may not like the dark secret you’ve kept from him” as quickly as it comes, it vanishes, what the hell was that? I stare at Alfred who looks too uncomfortable to be here, then at Lucinda who looks terrified, then I slowly stare at Alpha Stephan who looks very angry,

“ Did you just threaten your Luna?” he asks in a cold menacing voice, which makes me gulp in fear,

“ Alpha please calm down, she didn’t mean to, you know she can’t control her powers for now” Alfred pleads looking at the Alpha and then me, nodding slightly, I turn to Lucinda,

“ I mean no harm Luna I’m sorry” she just nods at me and leaves the office.

“Get out!” I didn’t need to be told twice, I dashed out of the room bumping into a random pack member. At first he looked like he wanted to apologize, then his face changed to that of disgust,

“ Watch where you are going witch” then he walks away, shaking my head I quickly run to my house only to find it trashed. The house was literally ablaze, rage slowly fill my bones, I feel my wolf trying to surface. Turning to my left, a small crowd had started to form, I turn slowly to them,

“ Who is responsible?” I don’t recognise my voice, there’s something inhumane about it because the remaining pack members look terrified.

“ I ask again, who is responsible?” A lanky guy about 6’2 steps out shaking,

“ I did it, Jace made me do it” just like that my rage was directed at Jace, who looked frightened out of his mind, I slowly stalk Jace who looks like he wants to vanish.

“ There are so many ways to hurt you Jace, I can melt you inside out and vanish without a trace” the power seem to intensify but I stop myself before I do something I would regret, I shake my head and walk towards the fire, concentrating on it I suddenly feel a pull like it wanted to tell me something. I reach out my right hand to it expecting it burn me but it doesn’t, then a blue flame suddenly flies into my chest and then I black out.

Blackwood pack

Davina is curled up by the side of her room, her wolf howling at the possibility that she would never be with her mate.

“ Knock Knock”

“ Go away Damian I don’t want to talk to you”, he opens the door slowly and walks in, he shouldn’t have shouted at her like that, he felt sorry.

“ Dee, I’m sorry” sitting beside her

“ No you are not, go away Dami” she turns from him. At least she’s calling him his nickname so it’s fine.

“ I’m just worried about our safety Dee, he is a rouge”

“ I know but he is my mate Dami, my mate” she sniffles

“ I know that’s why I’m allowing you to meet him”

“ I need him out of the cell, Please” she stares at him pleadingly, sighing he looks like he is staring at space then he turns to her,

“ I just mind linked Bryan, he is out of the holding cell, he would be supervised 24/7 and if I find anything suspicious about him, you might not see him for a long time” he said with finality. She turned to him smiling, hugging him so tight, “thank you so much Dami, I love you so much”

“ I love you too” he whispers in her hair hugging her close . Laying side by side with his sister he couldn’t help but think, why was she afraid? He turns to her and she stares at him confused,

“ What jerk face?”, this causes him to smile

“ why were you scared when I shouted at you?”, she faces the ceiling,

“ I don’t think you want to know” she shifts uncomfortably

“I do actually” she sighs then opens her mouth to speak,

“ Your eyes changed when your wolf surfaced, but it was different like darkness was surrounding you and you’ll hurt me”, she stares at him and the look on his face was all it took for her to pull him in a hug,

“ Do you think I’ll ever hurt you?”

“ Never, I know you wouldn’t”

“ Then why did you run?”

“ You are an Alpha Damian, you used your Alpha voice what did you expect” she flicks him on his nose, causing him to smile. He rarely smiles, just on few occasions and she’s the only one who gets to see it, After the passing of their parents Damian went from a jolly kid to something else. In as much as there’s darkness around him, he doesn’t want it to affect his pack members. He is the best Alpha one could ask for, she sighs lost in thought, would he ever find his mate or is the witches curse real?.

“ Is she dead?” a voice whispers

“ of course not she’s breathing” another but deeper, I guess it’s cause his a guy,

“ What did you say ....”

“ Shhhh she’s waking up” the deeper voice spoke, sighing to myself,

“ I’ve been awake for sometime now” I say slowly sitting up, then opening my eyes, It met with the Tall lanky guy from earlier and then a girl both of them seem surprised because their mouths are open . They both rush towards me, checking my temperature with their hands,

“ uhh guys, too much touching don’t you think?” this causes them to mutter an apology.

“ I.i am Aiden Ross, this is my Sister Clara Ross, I am so sorry I burnt down your house, you see Jace is my sister’s mate and he threatened to reject her if I don’t do what he asked” he stares at the floor ashamed while Clara holds his hands encouraging him. Suddenly I’m filled with rage, why would Jace do that, it’s an abomination to reject your mate, Selene the moon goddess forbids it including the Alpha of the pack forbids it too. Sighing I stare at them,

“ I’m sorry you have to go through with this, but I need you to understand that if you don’t stand up for yourself, you’ll always be a target” then I look at Clara,

“ I’m sorry Jace is your mate,” she stares at me confused

“ what do you mean, he treats me well” she replies blushing, okay well good for her then. Now what am I going to do, where do I stay, what will I wear? As if reading my thoughts, Adien and Clara decided I could live with them. The house was big enough and there was a free room next to Adien’s, so I could stay there. Clara was slightly bigger than me in size so the clothes that weren’t fitting her anymore would do, I stare at them in confusion while they were making arrangements for me.

“ Why?”

“ What do you mean why?” Adien asked

“Are you not scared of me?” this causes them to laugh and pull me up to my feet, staring at me Clara hugs me while Adien shyly ruffles my hair,

“ You are a good person Amelia, the pack members just doesn’t see that, but now you have us, you are never alone” Clara says. Almost making me cry, I nod and pull them into a hug staring up ahead, Thank you moon goddess.

Few hours later, Alpha Stephan summons me to the pack house which is weird because I’m never allowed into the pack house so I take in deep breaths and walk inside, I’m met with a bloody Jace and his cohorts kneeling before everyone. Oh what a sight I smirk internally, Everyone is there except Beta Lucas which was a bummer because I might be crushing on him. His chocolate brown eyes, strong body and Focus Amelia now is not time to be day dreaming. “ you asked for me Alpha”, he nods and then sends a menacing glare towards Jace and his friends.

“What do you have to say?” he asks, suddenly Jace rushes towards me and kneels before me begging that I spare his life, What?. I turn to the Alpha confused,

“ Jace and his cohorts would be banished from the pack” this causes everyone to gasps, I mean I know I dislike him but isn’t too much? My eyes searches for a particular person and we lock eyes, she’s white as ghost.

“ But Alpha what about his mate?” I ask frantically, he stares at me confused

“ He has a mate?” he turns to Jace, who nods his head looking down. Sighing he turns to me as if asking what I wanted, after all it was my house that got burnt, the only thing left of my parents asides me.

“ I forgive him, I don’t want his mate to suffer” I say with clenched fist, nodding his head as though proud of me he signals Gamma Alfred, he and the guards pick them up and take them to I don’t really know where they are taking them to. “ Beta Lucas has the remaining items that weren’t touched by the fire, he is in his house so you can go meet him there and again I am sorry about your house, we will make arrangements for you in the meantime” he gently pats my shoulder, smiling at him I tell him not to worry about it, he seems taken about, I explain to him how Adrien and Clara had already taken care of it . He nods and dismiss me, now it’s time to find Beta Lucas.
