Chapter eight

James POV

What the hell is she going on about, I was actually enjoying my dinner before she drop that bomb on me. Seriously am used to being the provider for my wife so hearing her tell me that she wants to work that too when she is pregnant, come on she is a Johnsons she do not lack money to want to actually work.

I'm actually impressed with her, not everyone wants to work when they can actually get whatever they want but that do not mean that she is going to work in her condition.

'' Absolutely not brat, you are not going to work in this condition maybe after you put to birth, you can then do whatever you want. ''

I do not know why I keep calling that, I'm stuck with calling her brat to the point that when I call her something else I feel like am not talking to her but someone else, see she has really messed up my mind.

'' Don't worry hubby dearest, I will not be putting myself and by that I mean your kids in danger because I'm planning to work from home. ''

Wait if she is not going to do something dangerous why did she tell, hold on did she just ask me for permission to do something for herself. OK am not a control freak or something but it feels good to know that she is actually considering me as her husband well technically I'm but since it is in the name only I thought she would disregard me.

But my wife, the mother of my unborn children actually respects me to the extent of considering my opinion before making her final decision and by the blush she is trying desperately to hide I can tell she do not want me to know that she cares about my opinion even when she does, aww that is so sweet wait what are I'm thinking, am not supposed to like anything about her damnit.

'' So what do you plan to do from home, open a restaurant or something because I can tell that's the only thing you are good at. ''

Leave it to Leila to make someone feel terrible about themselves but yeah seriously what will she do from home, she is a great cook no doubt but can she really turn my house into a restaurant not that am complaining, I will be her regular customer am sure.

'' oh very funny Leila dear but no, I have a real talent that I plan to explore and take it to the next level. ''

Wait real talent what about cooking, she is a freaking genius in the kitchen if that is not her real talent than what is, can she run out of things to blow my mind.

'' And what might that be although I'm not against turning this house into a restaurant, for a brat you are an excellent cook. ''

I can tell she likes it when I call her brat, there is a sparkle in her eyes like she wants to smile but I see fury in her eyes when someone else calls her brat, could it be that my dear wife actually likes me but she do not want to believe that yet. What are I'm thinking about, do I really want her to like/love me when that might not end well.

'' well now that you asked, I would like to be a fashion designer and do not worry about how I will....''

Leila bust out laughing before she could even complete her statement, can someone be so disrespectful I get it, I divorced her to marry this brat but in my defense I was willing to forget my children and stay married to her but she convinced me to marry this brat and now she is hell blend on making her life miserable.

'' Am so sorry but can you blame me so you are telling me that you want to become a designer using my husband's money and who is crazy enough to buy such designs made by you anyway. ''

Wait the brat never got to say where she would get her capital from but honestly I'm more than happy to give her capital it is better than making two cards for just shopping and dinners at expensive places right?

'' I never said I wanted any capital from my husband, I have my own saving. I never relied on anyone for anything not even my own family, before coming to Awan I was working and I have more than enough savings from that job for what I plan to do, so did not tell my  husband because I wanted capital from him but since we are married I thought it is only appropriate to seek his opinion before doing something don't you think? ''

OK seriously, this brat will never seize to amaze me, so she has her own saving, a Johnsons who works outside the family business, that is admirable.

She keeps stressing the fact that I'm her husband now and I can tell that Leila did not miss that, she is fuming and I thought I saw smoke coming out of her nose yep she is that pissed and this brat is grinning ear to ear.

'' so how do you plan to pull it off from home then, designing is not just about having the money and designs you know. ''

I know I should not have said that but it is the truth she needs to know there is a lot of work in that industry.

'' I know that, so I have made arrangements for in case I'm going to really do it. Don't worry about anything I will get everything done from home, I will just have some people do the work outside there and I will do my share from home that way I will have time to make my own meals I'm not a fun of having someone cook for me but if you two have a problem with that just let me know and I will make for just myself. ''

Is she crazy or something of course I want to have food made by her every single day and so does Leila but my Leila is too proud to accept that fact so it is up to me to save us some delicious meals.

She actually had everything planned out very efficient I must. She wants to work and Cook at the same time, seriously when will she rest.

'' That's OK, I for one is already a fan of your cooking so I have no problem eating this every single day for dinner if you don't mind. ''

Yep Leila is furious again because I said I will be having dinner at home every single day, I know I never used to have dinner with her but can you blame me, this is delicious.

'' So now she gets you to have dinner at home when I have been trying to get you to have dinner with me every single day for as long as I can remember. ''

I thought she would not point that out infornt of miss brat over here but as usual my Leila does what I least expected.

'' Leila this is different, I will be having dinner at home but you have always wanted dinners at restaurants so it is like dinner meetings I could not forego work to be at the same restaurants so I decided I might as well do dinner meetings. ''

Ooh well now that the cat is out of the box and Leila is looking at me like am the biggest traitor ever.

'' You are going to pay for that James, sleep somewhere tonight, I can not look at you right. Goodnight to the both of you. ''

With that she goes upstairs to our room but where are I'm suppose to sleep when she usually throw me out of our bed, I used to sleep in the adjoint bedroom but now miss brat over here sleeps there and I'm not sleeping away from my children so think James think. Wait did my Leila just called me James as in just James that is new development.

'' Am so sorry I got you in to trouble am just used to having meals made by me and these days  my appetite is very weird and I hate to be confusing Agie about my meals so I thought I would just cook for everybody, believe me if I knew that it would be a problem I would have stayed out of your kitchen. ''

She is not supposed to be apologizing because her husband's ex wife is offended what kind of a woman is she, do she not actually need a husband just a father for her children huh. I'm suppose to be relief by her lack of interest in me but for some reason am not as a Matter of fact I'm hurt and am going to make sure she carves my touch or my name is not James Williams.

'' That's OK, she will come around but I will talk to her tomorrow now my sleeping arrangement. ''

I'm leaving it open because I want her to think about it, if I'm lucky enough I will get to share her bed tonight, I do not know why am desperately trying to sleep in the same bed as her when I promised myself and Leila that I will not touch her again but maybe it is because she is carrying my children yep let's go with that.

'' If you want to sleep in the same bed as me you are sadly mistaken, I can always leave that bed for you, I was never interested in sharing a room with you two. ''

Now why did she have to be this hard headed but she is sleeping with me tonight one way or another.

'' The one sadly mistaken here brat is you, both of us are sleeping in that room tonight and since my Leila do not want  me in our bed that leaves me with sharing a bed with my wife.

We are married after all, technically we are supposed to share a bed. ''
