23. Repercussions

A FEW DAYS HAD PASSED since that earthquake incident. It flattened out a couple of old structures in the city. Some of the old buildings on campus were damaged as well. As fear of another one hitting the city again grew, the school administrators decided to hire experts to check the integrity of the existing buildings. In the meantime, students were cramped into four dormitories, while others opted to find shelter outside the campus. Carmelita decided to stay on campus, as did Natalia and Lexi. The three of them cramped in a smaller room as everyone else was forced to share their rooms with two to three more students.
