Rose’s heart pounded as she followed them down the narrow hallway. Ignoring the fear clawing at her chest, she rushed after them and pushed the door open.
She froze.
Bare breast and butts were all over the place.
Right at one corner, she saw a woman sucking a man’s c**k. Moans filled the air.
At the other corner, two other people were f*****g, she was disgusted at this sight but she had to find her sister.
Then her eyes caught Victor across the room.
Rose walked straight up to him, her face hard, her voice cold and serious.
“Where is my sister?
Victor hesitated, then said, “She’s in the bathroom.”
Rose didn’t blink. “Where is the bathroom?
“All right, this way. I’ll show you,” he said, pointing toward the hallway.
Rose didn’t wait. She walked past him, her jaw tight, eyes fixed ahead.
Victor took a quick sip from his cup, set it down, and followed after her.
Victor suddenly stepped in front of her, blocking her path, his hands braced against the wall on either side of her.
“You know,” he said with a crooked smile, lowering his voice,
“if you wanted to be alone with me… you should have just said so.”
Victor reached out and held her face between his hands, his grip sudden and unwelcome.
Rose’s breath hitched, shock flashing into fury. She shoved at his chest and snapped,
“What the f**k do you think you’re doing?”
Victor’s expression hardened, his grip tightening just enough to make her flinch.
“You women are only good for two things,” he sneered.
“That’s getting f****d….. being a cash cow.”
He scoffed, his tone dripping with arrogance.
“It’s a privilege……. to work for me,” he said proudly.
Rose’s voice shook, but she stood her ground.
“If it’s money you want,” she said quietly, swallowing hard, “I’ll get it for you. I’ll find a way. Just… let me and Lila go.”
“First, well…I’m gonna f**k you” He said, his grip tightening.
“Get off her!”
The shout tore through the noise of the club.
Before Victor could even turn, Darius stormed forward and struck, his knee driving hard into Victor’s groin.
Victor cried out, folding instantly.
Darius grabbed him by the collar, his grip ruthless, his eyes burning with fury.
“How dare you touch my girl?” he growled.
Rose stood frozen, shock crashing through her as she stared at him, at Darius, the last man she ever expected to see.
“How did he get out of prison.
I guess he rules there as well,”. She thought, a chill sliding down her spine as she stared at him.
Her eyes dropped to what he was wearing.
A blue suit, sharp and perfectly tailored, like he had never spent a single day behind bars. It hugged his broad shoulders, clean and expensive, making it impossible to believe he had been a prisoner just hours ago.
Victor groaned, clutching himself as he struggled to stay upright.
“Wait—your girl? B-boss… I—,” he stammered, still trying to recover from the pain.
Darius straightened slowly, his expression cold and unforgiving.
“If you ever try that stunt on any other woman,” he said calmly, every word loaded with menace.
“I will feed your balls to vultures.
Are we clear?”
Victor nodded frantically, fear written all over his face.
“Yes—yes, sir,” Victor gasped, nodding frantically as he tried to push himself up.
He barely made it halfway to his feet before Darius struck him again, sending him crashing back to the floor with a cry.
Darius looked down at him with cold contempt.
“Crawl out of here,” he said dangerously. “Before I change my mind.”
Victor didn’t argue.
He dropped to his hands and knees and began crawling away, humiliation and fear written all over him as the room fell silent around them.
Then Darius turned to face Rose, his gaze locking onto hers.
“Doc,” he said quietly, “I told you I’d see you on the outside. But I didn’t f*****g mean here.”
His eyes swept over her, taking in the chaos of the club, the fear still tight in her posture.
“What’s a girl like you doing in a place like this?”
He leaned closer, his presence overwhelming.
“Mr. Darius,” Rose said softly, trying to steady
herself.
He didn’t stop. He moved closer still, his gaze fixed on her mouth. Rose swallowed and bit her lip without thinking.
“Don’t do that,” he said quietly.
Her brows furrowed. “Don’t do what?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
His eyes darkened. “That,” he replied, his tone low and controlled.
His hand brushed against her shoulder slowly,
Rose flinched slightly, aware of his presence but trying to keep her composure.
She was wearing a sleeveless gown, which left her arms exposed and made the moment even more tense.
“You know, Doc,” he murmured, his voice low and edged with something dark, “I really wanted to do this the first day I met you.”
He brought his lips closer, leaning in as if to kiss her. Rose jerked her head to the side, and in the movement, one of the sleeveless straps of her gown slipped off her shoulder.
His gaze fell on the necklace around her neck, its pendant catching the light. He reached out and turned it over in his hand.
Immediately, he froze.
