Chapter 5

784 Words
“Who the f**k are you?” The voice, deep and in my ear pulled me directly out of the sleep I hadn’t realized I had fallen into, and had me sitting up, my heart pounding. Alpha Black was also sitting up, his eyes clear of everything but the anger. It was obvious he didn’t remember anything that had happened the night before, and fear flooded through me at the way he was glaring at me. “I…” The words wouldn’t come out. My pounding heart and turning stomach made it impossible to even form a sentence in my head, never mind getting it out. “I…” His eyes narrowed, and he flung the blankets off of himself. I averted my eyes, despite the fact I had seen, and tasted, everything it was covering, and he reached for something on the ground. My face flamed red when he held up the dress I had been wearing the night before. The dress I would have never put on if not for someone telling me to. Ordering me to, was more like it. “I see,” I said, his eyes narrowing on me once more. “So, you had a plan when you came to this room. And, the fact that I remember nothing from last night tells me, that plan succeeded, didn’t it?” Did it? I honestly had no idea why I had been sent to him. They weren’t inclined to tell me why they had me do anything. And I had long since stopped asking. Asking was more likely to get me in trouble. I forced my eyes away from the dress. “I just….” “Wanted one of my pups,” he growled out. My mouth dropped open, and I somehow went even more speechless. What? He said that as if it was something he had happen to him before. Women climbing into bed with him to get pregnant. He was the most powerful Alpha in the world, as far as I was aware, but was that something people would do? His hand was clamped around my wrist before I knew it, and I gazed down at the contact. He was holding me just a little too hard, making my wrist ache, but it was nothing worse than I had experienced before. After the night before, though, it was so different, all I could do was stare at it. “Come on,” he growled with a vicious tug, nearly pulling me out of the bed. “We’re going to go find out what your Alpha thinks of your little act.” My heart picked up the pace at the realization that he was going to bring me before Tina and Kai. That they would know I hadn’t left when I was supposed to. I shiver ran through me at what they would do when they realized I hadn’t done what they had asked. Hadn’t been able to, when I had realized the condition they had sent him to his room in. “Please,” I begged, breathless. He let out a dark chuckle. “Begging? Because you don’t want Alpha Kai to know what you did? Don’t want to get in trouble? Then you shouldn’t have drugged me, should you?” I froze, eyes widening. He thought I drugged him? “What…” “Don’t deny it,” he growled in my face. “I know when I’ve been drugged, and all I want to know is when you did it. I don’t even remember you from last night. And with that hair, I think I would. But, even telling me isn’t going to get you out of this meeting with your Alpha. Now, get up!” He tugged my wrist again, dragging me out of the bed, and it was all I could do to keep the blanket clutched to my form. “Clothes!” I managed to get out, even that word stuttering as it left my mouth. Alpha Black looked back at me, annoyance in his eyes. “What?” “Please, a dress. I don’t…” I shook my head. “I just have…” Still, the words weren’t coming out, so I nodded my head at the scrap of fabric he still held clenched in his other hand. “Please.” His eyes searched mine, and for a moment I thought he would soften, then he scoffed and dragged me to his trunk. He pulled out a tunic, which would go to my knees, and threw it at me. “You have thirty seconds to get dressed. And then we are going to you Alpha to tell him about your schemes.”
