“I don’t want to stop you again,” I said, words cutting off as another wave of cramps hit. “I’ve already delayed us enough. At this rate, we’ll never get back to your pack house,” I told him. I was gasping for air again, and once again bracing for those cramps to hit. I had curled into a ball on the ground, my knees pressed as tight against me as they could.
