BRENNAN With everyone healed, including Kiera, we were back on our horses by midday. It wouldn’t be a full day of travel, but it was far more than I had thought we would get in. Still, all I could do was watch Kiera. She kept rubbing her arms and legs. Any of her joints. At one point, I watched her put a hand to her hip with a hiss, as if a sharp pain had just torn through it. Something was definitely wrong. And she wasn’t willing to take painkillers for it.
