I knew he was following me. That he would catch up to me soon. I knew it in my very bones, as if he had somehow become ingrained within me. As if he was now a part of me. Then again, I knew he was. Knew it from the moment our eyes had met after I had changed for the first time. The bond that raced between us in that moment had been heady and overwhelming. And, it had been everything. I was still angry at him, it couldn’t erase that. It couldn’t tear from my mind every reason I had snapped at him that day. But, it was enough for me to know I would forgive him.
