Lorne was frowning down at Asher when I opened my eyes again. I rubbed away the sleep in my eyes and sat up, pulling his gaze to me. He looked back to Asher again immediately, and my heart began to thump in my chest. My eyes moved to Asher, sure I was going to see him with a still chest having passed while I slept. Instead, I saw him breathing with ease, colour back in his cheeks. I blinked at him, sure I was seeing things. “What did you do?” I asked, my voice awed. Brennan was still on his other side, and I could see he was just as awed as I was. Asher was getting better.
