CHAPTER 8 - LEO'S POV

1168 Words
We walk up the stairs of the house and into the foyer. Well more like a massive room, big enough to be a saloon. There are a few painting hanging on one wall and racks on the other. One of the painting catches my eye and I stop to look at it. There is huge forest, very detailed but not a normal looking kind forest. Like there was a battle or like one is about yo happen. There are few eyes here and there is a pack of wolf all black, grey , black and white, grey wolves and one white wolf. They are all surrounding the white wolf as if to protect him or maybe attack him. But they don't look like they are attacking him. More like looking at him. Staring in amaze. White wolves were rare and still are. From what I heard they are more rare than any wolf breed. They are special because anyone who mates a white wolf develop some kind of power or strength. I am not really sure. They also have the ability to hide their scent. There are probably one in a thousand white wolves. 'That wolf looks like Talina' I think to myself. "They were protecting him. " I hear behind me Josh's voice pulling me from my deep thoughts. "It may seem like they were on to him, but they were amazed by his beauty." he continued. ''From what I heard this painting has been hanging here for the past four generations. White wolves are rare and its the duty of the alpha and the pack to protect them. They are considered a special gift from the moon goodess." I don't say much as we pass a stairway, because my mind is racing. 'Why didn't mum and dad tell me that Talina was a rare wolf.' Why did they hid it from me.' 'Because they wanted you to know on your own. They always want you to know you are special even without me.' I hear from a far. . 'Talina' I call hoping he will answer me but all that hits me is silence. ' Don't want to loose you Talina, you are a special friend and I am sorry I pushed you away when I found out I was an omega.' I say knowing there won't be a response and hoping he heard me. Sadness hits me when I remember how much Talina tried to convince me everything was going to be alright. He always tried to comfort me and I shut him off all the time. He was a part of my soul and I pushed him away. Blamed him for the reason things turned this way. He entertained my attitude, he understood me more than anyone in my life because he was part of me. I shut he down so many times he started going quiet and then one day I could no longer feel him. I understand it was never his fault from the beginning but once I got over my depression the damage was already done.'I pushed my wolf away and now I am no longer sure if he is still around. "Leo are you okay," I hear my mum's voice. "Leo?" she calls pulling me from my haze. I look at her still not completely back to normal. "He is back." She shouts back and my dad comes in rushing. "What are you talking about?" I ask once the fog in my mind cleared.      "We were almost in the office when we realized you were no longer with us. I know you wouldn't go wondering because you know the rules." she says. 'Yeah I know that rule. Never wonder in the territory of another pack without the alpha's permission'. " So I thought maybe something happened and I was right." "What do you mean?" I ask they all pass a look around each other. "You have been standing here for the past ten minute. And I have been trying to get you to respond because you were just staring. As if your soul had left your body. We were about the call the Alpha when you responded just now." she says and I see the panic in her eyes. I look around and realized that I was still standing near the stairway. My muscles felt stiff and my head felt like I was hit with a brick. Or may be it was the journey that was starting to wear on me. This has never happened before. 'We need to get to the office. I already informed the the Alpha that we are on a way and everything is fine now." Josh says. Mum holds my hand as we walk through a massive corridor. There are mostly paintings and a few photos here and there. At the end of the corridor stood a massive Mahogany double door. And suddenly I felt the air kind of shift and felt the dominance in the air. ' Yap the alpha is definelty in there, waiting for us.' Instead of feeling the fear of such authority I felt safe. I felt like I was where I was supposed to be. And it felt like home. Something I never felt at my old pack. Josh knocks and open the door and ushers us in.The alpha was sitting behind a massive dark wood desk with his attention on the computer. From where i was stand he looked pretty tall.About six feet two or six feet three. He was massive, and bulky, like someone who hits the gym alot or does alot of lifting. The perks of being a wolf was that it was hard to get fat no matter what or how much you ate. And the training was always made the muscles really show. He looks up from his computer and stands up and he didn’t disappoint. He was really tall. He walks towards us as he says,"I am sorry I couldn't welcome you personally I had a meeting." He says as he walks from behind his desk towards us. 'Wow I never saw anyone so dominant yet so humble.' "Good to see you again Candace." He says to my mum then embraces her in a hug. Am seeing wrong all did the Alpha just hug my mum. "Me too Alpha Fabian.'' she responds as he realises her. He then looks at my dad's extended hand as he says,'' Are you too old for hugs then." He says with a smirk. "It's Good to see you again Beta Norman. I see you have been taking care of Candace...... and this is Leo?" He finishes. "You have really grown up,' he says and pulls me into a hug. At first I stiffen then I gradually relax into his his chest. Wow, all this is new and weird but I love it. I love how safe it makes me feel. "Please have a seat," says as he let's me go. "Now to serious matters,'' He says but I am more relaxed now.
