Scarlet tried waking Jade up but there was no response. Her limp body with her head hanging down stayed suspended in the cell.
“Jade! Can you hear me? Wake up!! I need you!” she cried as she called out to Jade in her dry raspy voice. The burning in her body was increasing. She wanted to cry. To let out her release but no tears came out of her body. She felt the temperature of her body increase as the burning continued to rise.
She had no idea what kind of potion the witch had given her. She felt as if she needed blood, a lot more blood than she had ever needed. She ran her dry tongue over her chapped lips.
