Jade sat with Scarlet in her house, the Two Pines, reminiscing the day they had met. She glanced at Scarlet who was staring blankly at the expansive landscape in front of them through the living room windows.
The liquidambar trees that Jade had planted at a distance stood out on the vast landscape as their orange leaves smiled brightly in the autumn sun. These parts of the country did not really have many trees that changed during autumn so Jade had gone out of her way in procuring, planting and taking care of these beautiful trees.
