She frowned at the caller id on her ringing phone. She had spoken to Kirra at the sparrow’s fart and they had agreed to talk at night.
A call this early in the day was a little unsettling. Or did Scarlet recollect something? Hands slightly quivering in anticipation she attended the call.
Hi Kirra. Is everything alright?
Yes! And No!. Scarlet is with me but she is a little anxious. She hasn’t been able to contact Jeremy. Could you please check on him?
Of course! I will call you as soon as I get in touch with him.
She disconnected and stared at her mobile screen. Could a simple call suffice? There was no harm in trying! She called Jeremy but as expected the call did not go through.
In fact, the phone was switched off. She called Lucas.
