The perks of owning your business are working from wherever you are.
Tristan demolished his house in Country Club, leaving us checking in at a private hotel inside the exclusive place on earth. I'm just being sarcastic.
I am still convincing Lise to be a part of my Bridal Magazine since she has a date set for her wedding. She waited for Marie, who didn't gain any weight, to give birth. I mean, if all of the women have genes like her, then many women will not go to post-postpartum depression. Her body didn't change at all. And she is not an exercise junkie. Hmm.. sigh.
It looks like all of us (my friends) are working from home. (Insert vacation mode.) So we decided that Saturday afternoon is a girl bonding time. Cailee is with us. Enjoying the spa with mama.
"Spoiled sa mga ninang," Marie commented while looking at Cailee with so much love.
"Oo naman." Sagot ni Cheska. Nagpalagay siya ng baby spa para kay Cailee. And our little miss is now peacefully sleeping because of the massage.
"Girls, I need your opinion," Sam said.
"I was thinking of studying for corporate law so more. I think I am ready to leave the criminal world."
"OMG. That's good Sam. And for sure Kyle will be delighted." Marie replied.
"And I was thinking, my friends are all rich, God bless them, they need a lawyer that can handle their corporate stuff," Sam said jokingly.
"So does this mean you will leave for abroad to study?" I asked.
"No. I will have my masters in UP. But I want to finish it early so I will be a full-time student. I will be AWOL with our girly stuff." She replied.
"Nasaan si Diane? Hindi pa nagkukwento yun ah." Kaye commented.
"Inlove na inlove ang kambal mo Trish ah. Babalatan ko ng buhay yun kapag nambabae yun."Lise said.
"I will be the first to skin him alive if he plays with Diane. Plus Angel will hunt him." Trisha replied.
"Who is Angel?" Kaye asked.
"Diane's half-brother," I replied without thinking.
"Whaaaattttt?" Unanimously asked. Uh-oh!!! OMG, their reactions are for Kodak moments.
"Yeah. You should ask her." I don't want to be KJ but it is not my story to tell.
" Nasaan na ba yun." Marie called her phone.
"Baka nag-Versace on the floor din." Natatawang comment ni Cheska.
" Parang si Sam lang." sagot naman ni Lise.
"Heh...Ako na naman."Sam replied.
"Hoy babaeng dinaig si Mulan sa tapang. Nasaan ka na ba?" Tanong ni Marie.
"Iwan mo na sila sa admin building. Hayaan mo sila diyan. May ikukwento ka pa." Marie rolled her eyes to what Diane is telling her.
"Sasapakin ko yang Tristan na yan. Kelan pa sya naging dependent sayo?"
Nangingiti si Marie.
" Bilis na at magkukwento ka pa about kay Kuya mo." Tumawa ng tumawa si Marie.
"Papatayin kami ni Trisha sa mga kakaunting details. Bilis mo. Ok ingat ka."
"Papunta na daw. Kausap palang yung architect para sa bahay." Pagbabalita niya. We are waiting for Diane when my phone ring. It is my lawyer.
"Hello."
"Hello, Trisha. I need to speak with you about your annulment." Bernard said. I look at Sam and she knew who is on the other line.
"What is it?" Lakas loob na tanong ko.
"Your marriage is not on the Vital Office," Bernard said.
"What do you mean?"
"It means that your marriage certificate didn't submit to any office to legalize. You are not married when it comes to law. You don't need an annulment. You are not married. I already gave this to other party's lawyer." Bernard informed me.
I am not married. I am not married.
" Thanks, Bernard," I said.
"I will contact you anytime soon."
"Trish," Sam called me.
" I am not married," I replied sadly. Tears are flowing from my eyes.
"How come?" Lise asked. They started to embrace me. Giving me strength.
"Kian didn't legalize our marriage. He didn't submit our marriage cert to legalize it." Sagot ko.
"Trish. Isn't it what you want?" Kaye asked carefully.
"No. But this is what he needs. He will be a father anytime now." I told them.
Diane saw us in that state and she immediately joined us.
"What happened?" She asked.
"I am not married," I replied with a heavy heart.
I told them what happened. In Vegas years ago.
