I take a deep breath as I step into the living room. The atmosphere is tens and I know that I am in big trouble..

Dad - ‘Ella care to explain who you have been hanging out with?

Ella - ‘Dad it isn’t what it seems like’

Dad - ‘What it seems like? Ella you are hanging out with the top of the most feared gang! Feared for their violence! I saw that picture while we were investigation so no point in denying that you hang out with them. And yes we know everyone in that gang! The only reason to why they aren’t behind bars is because we don’t have any proof that they do it. Nothing that can stick. We only know their names and what they look like’

My dad shows me a picture of me at the diner with Drake and Emma from yesterday when that tried to cheer me up. He also shows me a picture from my first ever meeting with the gang at that diner. It is from that night the cops came.

Dad - ‘I have know for a couple of weeks a now Ella, and I even tested you to see what you would do! You chose to protect the gang, not come clean to me about it’

Ella - ‘Dad it is not what it seems okay. They are my friends, close friends even!’

Dad - ‘It’s time to come forward and tell us everything you know!’

Ella - ‘I won’t do that dad!’

Dad - ‘It’s all because of that boy Liam isn’t it? Why can’t you just go out with Jonas here?’

Ella - ‘I love him dad!’

Dad - ‘Love? You know nothing about love young lady! You are officially grounded! Jonas will drive you home from school every day and stay with you when I am not here, and then Jon (Jonas’ dad) will take your statement on what you know about the gang. I will try my best to get you out without any case against you!’

Ella - ‘You can’t be serious dad!?’

Dad - ‘I am very serious. Now hand over your phone and go to your room! Your mom would be so disappointed in you!’

Ella - ‘You can have my phone I don’t care, but I am not staying here anymore!’

I am so angry! They are my friends and I may not know about love completely but I know what I feel for Liam. Yes despite everything he has really showed me that he is serious about us! I go to my room and start to pack a bag. I pack some clothes, my school bag and my photo album which has pictures of my mother in it. I don’t really know what to do? But I know I can always go to the hideout. The gang is staying late anyways. They have a movie marathon going on, so they will be there.

I walk out into the living room and I see that Jonas and his dad are still here. My dad is on the phone with someone in the kitchen but when we sees me walking with my things he says ‘If you leave don’t bother come back! I can’t help you then!’

I look at him one last time and I say to Jonas that I will see him at school. I walk out the front door, leaving everything I know behind. I can’t believe it came to this.

I go to the bus stop and wait for the bus. I have no phone, which means no way of contacting anyone in the gang. Before I gave it to my dad I deleted everything involving the gang - even pictures of us, because I did not what that to be used against them in any way.

After 20 minutes the bus finally arrives and I pay for a ticket. It’s a 30 minute drive and then 10 minute walk to the hideout, but because I want to make sure I am not followed. Yes I want to make sure that I am not followed! Dad was on the phone when I left and I am sure it was with a patrol unite. I took a bus that went the wrong way and then took three other busses until I was sure the police couldn’t track me down. After about 1,5 hours I was finally walking towards the hideout. It was pouring rain and I was socking wet. Great just great.

The door to the hideout was locked so I knocked. Drake came to the door ‘Wh.. f*** Ella what are you doing here and how did you get here?’ He could se that I had been crying. I was still sobbing. He pulled me into a hug and yelled for Liam. ‘What?’ Liam yelled but when he came and he saw me he just hugged me and asked ‘what happened? Did your dad yell at you?’

I just started crying and in between my sobs I managed to say ‘I got into a fight with my dad. Apparently they know all of you guys identities and well had photos of me with you guys. They wanted me to share everything I knew about you so they could make a case out of it, but I didn’t want to. Be.. because I am in love with you Liam and the gang are my friends!’ I look at everyone who has now formed a circle around Liam and I. Even boss is there but Lexi is not.

I looked back at Liam and said ‘I left home, I just backed my things, left my phone and walked out.. my dad told me not to bother coming back ever again..’

LIAMS POV:

Seeing Ella socking wet and crying broke my heart but when se told us what she did my heart truly broke. I put her in this position. I made her leave he dad and everything she knows. I just hugged her as tight as I could without hurting her and whispered to her that everything will be okay.

Liam - ‘Your dad will come around. I am sure it was a shock to him. Don’t take his words to seriously!’

Ella - ‘I don’t know. I now have nowhere to live..’

Liam - ‘Yes you do. You can live with me!’

Ella looked at me and her eyes where filled with gratitude.

Boss spoke up ‘Ella I am sorry we put you in that position, but I have to ask. Where you followed?’

Ella - ‘No I made sure of that. You guys are my friends and I don’t let anything happen to my friends. I took three different busses. One in each direction and I didn’t take the one towards here before I was sure there where no police. I deleted everything connecting to you off of my phone before handing it to my dad. Even pictures.’

Boss - ‘Well Ella make you self at home here. You are one of us now!’

Wow boss never said that to anyone and I mean anyone who didn’t partake in the tryouts. Maybe because he knows the truth?

It must be that.

ELLAS POV:

The whole gang was gathered in the lounge area watching movies. I was sitting nexted to Liam and Drake. Drake turns to me and whispers ‘Kate and Jonas are trying go get a hold of you’ I look at him with a puzzled look. How does he know that?

Drake - ‘I have Kates number and she texted me to ask you to call her. You can use my phone if you like?’

I grab Drakes phone and go to the kitchen area and call Kate.

Kate - ‘Ella are you okay?’

I can hear Jonas in the background asking her tons of question.

Ella - ‘I am okay. Liam offered my to stay at his house for a while, which I am going to do. I won’t be coming to school tomorrow but I will be there Friday!’

Kate - ‘I will take notes for you okay! We just wanted to make sure after everything that happened that you were okay. We will let you get on with your night but call us if you need anything!’

Ella - ‘I will and thank you guys and Jonas?’

Jonas - ‘Yeah?’

Ella - ‘Thanks for not telling my dad about everything and thanks for not meddling!’

Jonas - ‘I may not get your choice but as I told you I want you to be happy. Even if that means i can only be your friend!’

Ella - ‘Bye guys. See you Friday!’

As I hang up the phone I see Liam standing in at the door.

Liam - ‘Kate and Jonas wanted to make sure you where okay?’

Ella - ‘Yeah. I told them that I won’t be at school tomorrow. I think it is best if I take the day off you know. And Liam about me staying with you. I still just don’t quite trust you so I would appreciate it if I could have the guest bedroom.’

Liam looked at me disappointed but nodded his head. He went to hug me and that was just what I needed. We went back to the others and watched a couple of movies before heading to Liams. As agreed upon I got a guest bedroom. It was next to Liams but I still had my own space. I took a deep breath before closing my eyes and drifting to sleep. Today was quite and eventful day..
