Chapter 17 Rafe fought hard against waking up. Not only because of the pain pounding inside his head, but because it was all going to be so much worse when he opened his eyes and saw where he was. Cowardly though it might be, his plan was to let himself drift, enjoying the strange illusion of gentle fingers massaging his throbbing temples, and a voice crooning soft words of comfort that wrapped around him like a fleece blanket.
