MATE?

I was in my room when I heard knocking on the door and my brother opening the door. "Nora, come downstairs" my brother called me. 

"Give me a minute" I yelled back brushing my hair and applying lip balm to my lips and then rushing downstairs. 

I froze when I saw Axel. I didn't know he was a werewolf earlier when I met him but now that I smell him properly I realised he was and an Alpha at that. 

"I didn't know you were a vampire" 

"Surprise" I smiled sheepishly 

"Well this will make it easier for me I guess" he muttered to himself. I don't think I was supposed to hear him but I did. 

"Make what easier?" I asked him 

"Can we talk, privately" he looked at everyone when he said privately and they all left and went into the kitchen. 

"So talk!" I demanded crossing my arms over my chest. 

"We're mates" he blurted out quickly. I don't feel the mate bond though. 

"Why do I not feel the mate bond then?" 

"You won't, not as strong as me anyway" he said pinching the bridge of his nose. 

"Then how do I know that you're telling the truth?" 

"Are you strongly attracted to me?" he asked

"Well yeah but that's because your an attractive guy". He smirked at that. I think I made his already big ego bigger. 

"How would you feel if you saw me with another woman?" I suddenly felt very jealous and hurt at this thought. I felt like someone grabbed my heart, squeezed it and ripped it out of my chest. What is wrong with me, I've only just met this man. 

He suddenly pulled me into his arms. Every were he touch was tingling. "Theses tingles are called sparks. They only happen between mates". 

He let go of me and walked into the kitchen where everyone else was. 

I was still standing here in a daze. I have a mate. 

What will happen when my past comes to bite me in the ass. I don't want my mate or his pack getting hurt because of me. 

I put these thoughts to the back of my head and headed into the kitchen to join the others at the table. I sat next to my brother who was seated next to his mate. My brother was laughing at something Alec had said. They both held so much love in their eyes for each other. Would me and Axel be like them one day? Do I even want a mate? Does he want me? 

"That could be us someday" a voice range through my head. Axel?. 

"Yes it me. Since we are mates we can mind-link each other" the voice said

"But I'm not a werewolf" 

"It doesn't matter what you are. As long as your mates you can mind-link each other" 

"Can I only mind-link you?" 

"For now. When we have our mating ceremony you will be able to mind-link the whole pack and they will be able to mind-link you too" 

What's a mating ceremony?" I asked 

"It's like a wedding but for werewolves"

"WHAT?" Everyone looked at me. Curiosity was all over their faces but they didn't ask anyone, just stayed silent staring at me. "I need fresh air" I walked out of the house and got on my motorbike. I didn't know were I was going but I don't care at the moment. I just needed to leave. 

I ended up at a little shop and brought my self a few snacks and a drink. I eat when I'm stressed. When I got out of the shop I was met with three vampires. Two boys and a girl. I recognised them as my half siblings and last time I checked they wanted me dead. 

I dropped the bag that I was carrying and got in a fighting position waiting for them to attack. One of them charged at me but I blocked her and she landed on the ground. I took out my knife that I'd hidden in my boat and stabbed one of the boys. He pulled the knife out and was about to stab me at the same time his brother was going to charge me. I moved out of the way and the one that was about to charge me got stabbed. 

He picked up his brother and ran off yelling it wasn't over. I turned around to see the girl getting ripped apart by a big black wolf. The wolf shifted to reveal Axel, completely naked. He quietly put a pair of basketball shorts on and huged me. 

"Let's go back and talk". I nodded in agreement and got back on my motorbike while he shifted again and ran into the woods. 

When I got home I was met with a completely clothe Axel. He was holding the bag that I had dropped and forgotten about. I huged him and took the bag of him. I went to my room and he followed me and says on my bed. 

"How did you know were I was?" I sate next to him, tipping  all the snacks on the  bed and grabbing a Mars bar. 

"I followed you" 

"Why?"

"Because I had a feeling something bad was gonna happen to you and my wolf took control and followed you" 

"Oh" 

"I'm sorry I just suddenly sprung the mating ceremony on you. I should have slowly gotten you used to this mate thing first" 

"It's fine. I was going to fined out one way or another" I grabbed the a Kit Kat and broke it in half and offered the other half to him. He declined saying he doesn't like sweets. I just shrugged and eat the rest of the chocolate bar. 

"Next time something like this happens, please talk it out with me instead of running?" 

"I'll try" 

"That's good enough for me" he said getting up and kiss my forehead. "I've got to go now. I've got pack work to catch up on" he walked out of the room and I head the front door closing. The room suddenly felt colder without him here. Just as I was about to go to bed my brother came into my room. 

"Hey" 

"This is it sis. No more running from our past" 

"Are you not worried about the pack and our mates getting killed because of us?" I asked crying at the thought of my mate dying. 

Noah hugs me "They will be fine. They are the strongest and biggest pack alive. Now get some sleep. I'll see you in the morning" be kissed my forehead and then headed to his room closing the door behind him.

Axel's pov

I woke up excited to see my mate. I got showered, dressed and then went down for breakfast. After making myself breakfast I got in my car and headed to school. 

When I parked I was met with my beautiful met who was getting of her motorbike. She winked at me and walked inside the school building. I followed her in and to her locker. I leaned against the locker beside hers, waiting for her to get her books out so I can walk her to class. 

We walked hand in hand to her classroom. I missed her cheek then walked to my own class which was across from hers where I met up with Alec and Luca. "So I see you two are doing well" Luca nudged me smiling sheepishly. 

Just as I was about to answer him, Lucian, my sister's mate swang his arm around my shoulders "Who's the girl?" 

"My mate" 

"Congratulations man" he pated my shoulder and walked away. 

"As I was going to say before that me and Nora are trying to make our relationship work. We our going at a human pace though" I sighed. 

"Better than nothing" Alec grinned. His grin widened when he spotted Noah walking towards him. Noah has the same black hair and blueish gray eyes that my mate does. Looking at him make me miss my mate more and I only saw her five minutes ago and she is only across the hallway from me. I didn't know I'd get attacked to her this quick.

After class was over I waited for Nora near her classroom leaning against the wall with my arms cross and a cigarette dangling from my lips when suddenly the cigarette was snatched from my mouth and I was faced with a pissed off Nora. "You smoke?" 

"Yes I do. Do you have a problem with it?" I asked annoyed. "It will damage your health" Nora frowned upset. I felt bad for snapping at her. She was only concerned about my health. 

"I'm sorry I snapped at you" I hugged her. She just kissed my cheek and hugged me back smiling. "It's fine but next time you do I'm cutting your d**k off" she smiled evily at me and I covered me d**k with both of my hands, gulping in fear "Noted" 

She just laughed at me and walked of with Mia. I followed them like a lost puppy and sate with then in the cafeteria instead of my normal table with my friends. Alex and Noah also joined us at the table. 

Noah claimed the seat on the other side beside his sister but Alex had other ideas. He picked Noah up and sate him on his lap. Noah blushed but didn't complain. You may think that Noah accept Alec easily but he didn't. When they first met Noah moved states and hid from him for months. It took Alec six months to find Noah and three weeks to convince him to move here and join our pack. The reason Noah ran from Alec was because Noah was scared his old coven would come back and kill his mate and his pack. His old coven wants both Nora and Noah dead. The thought of Nora dead made me growl. 

Nora looked at me concerned but I just smiled at her, silently telling her it was. nothing for her to worry about. I'll kill her whole coven before they can even get near her.

Noah's pov 

I still worry about my old coven even though Alec said him and his pack will protect me and my sister. I don't want to be the reason my mate dies. I can tell Nora is scared too so I pretend I'm not to comfort her. 

We have been running from our coven for two years now and I'm ready to settle down and fight the head on. I'm done running. I just want them dead so me and my twin could have a peaceful life with our mates. 

I'm surprised how quickly Nora has excepted her mate. I honestly thought she would try to get away from him like I did with mine. Now that I think about it, I regret running away from him. All it caused us both was pain and heartache. 

I got pulled into reality my mate sucking on my neck, leaving hickeys. I pushed his head away blushing "Not in public". 

"Yeah save that for the bedroom" my sister scrunched her nose up in disgust while her mate chucked. My mate stuck his tounge out at the both of them. My mate sure is mature, not.

Mia's pov

I was sitting at the table minding my own business when my nuisance of a mate came over and swang his arm around me and stole a few chips of mine. I glared at him but he just chuckled and pecked my lips. 

"So what's up everyone?" he asked. One thing about my mate is that he loves to be in everyones business. 

"Nothing much. I thought you were supposed to be in detention?" Axel asked. "Yeah well I skipped it" Lucian shrugged. Everyone just sighed and shook their heads at at him. Typical Lucian.
