"I told you guys there would be a lot of security." Olivia said as she sighted the massive security at the entrance.
"How are we going to enter without an invitation?" She added.
"I am way ahead of you dude." Levi said, flashing three invitation cards. Olivia was a fighting machine as well as a killing diva, whereas Levi was a professional thief with hacking skills.
Leonardo took off his owl face mask and took off his jacket, exposing the classy t-shirt he was putting on.
"We need to go inside dressed like gentlemen, so I've got some suits in the truck. Bring them out, will you?" Levi said, staring at Olivia, who rolled her eyes.
Olivia walked out of the car, took a black bag from the truck, and got back into the car.
Jasmine was staring at herself in the mirror in her office. She took red lipstick and applied it to her lips, smacking her lips to get it circulated.
She was putting on a short midi dress with her hair tied in a bun when the door of her office crept open as Caleb walked in.
"I am ready." He said, twirling for her to notice the tuxedo he was putting on.
"We are going to investigate. Not to have fun stick to the plan." She rolled her eyes.
"Come on, we are going to a masquerade ball. I have to look good." He complained with a toothy smile.
"Just keep your eyes on the job; let's go." Jasmine declared and grabbed her bag from her desk.
"Are you sure the killer will attend the masquerade ball?" Caleb inquired.
"I am not certain, but something bad might happen because it's the biggest party of the century." Jasmine stated, walking out of the office with him.
"Goodbye, people!" Caleb exclaimed, waving at his other colleagues as they walked out of the company.
Jasmine smirked as she used her heels to open the door of her car and hopped in.
She grabbed the steering wheel and fired the engine, ready to take off.
"Wait, my car doesn't want to start." Caleb ranted and opened the door of her car and sat next to her.
"Are you sure? Or did you forget to buy gas?" Jasmine asked, raising a brow, his face flushed.
"I..I bought it." He stuttered.
"Hmm." She sighed and drove off.
Jasmine pulled up in front of the mansion and stepped out with Caleb by her side.
Jasmine put on her mask, the magenta feathers accentuated her straight blonde hair.
She put on a mysterious smile and held out her hand in a dramatic motion, turning to Caleb.
"Let's go unravel this mystery!"
He shook his head, staring at her, his golden mask adorned with sequins.
Jasmine noticed Leonardo and his gang standing at the entrance of the mansion.
He was wearing a fashionable blue shirt and a Rolex wristwatch, and a shiny black mask accentuated his aquiline nose. A light breeze swept through his long, dark hair, revealing a tiny owl tattoo on his neck.
She clenched her fists and narrowed her eyes at him, thinking he was suspicious.
"This is so awesome! I can't believe we're attending a masquerade ball. All you know how to do is work." Caleb teased.
"We are working here; don't get jumpy." Jasmine snarled, keeping her gaze on Leonardo as he handed the security guard his invitation card and walked into the ball with his gangs.
"Let's go in." Caleb said, walking ahead of Jasmine.
The security guard made a slight bow as he opened the door to let them in.
"Welcome to the Masquerade Ball. I hope you have a hoot of a time," he stated.
They both walked into a large room lit by candles set along each wall. Small groups of people in dazzling costumes talked and drank while lively music played in the background.
The rich host stood in the middle of the place.
"A hundred people out of two hundred showed up tonight." His pleasant voice carried through the room without the use of a microphone.
"Not bad, enjoy the ball. Let the music begin." He said with a hearty laugh and lifted a glass of wine to the crowd. Jasmine didn't know what he was celebrating.
Leonardo's eyes met with hers, and an electric current went through her.
Jasmine took out her notebook and started taking notes, staring at Leonardo.
"Do you find him suspicious?" Caleb inquired.
"Shh, lower your voice, I find him strange. Can you see the tiny owl tattoo on his neck?" Jasmine inquired, staring at him.
"I don't find anything suspicious, waiter!" Caleb said, taking a drink from a waiter.
"s**t!" Jasmine groaned.
"What the matter, Jaz?" Caleb inquired, taking a sip of his wine.
"He has vanished into thin air." She muttered.
"Oh, he must be around here somewhere." Caleb said as his eyes wandered around the ball.
Olivia walked closer to the host and clinked her wine glasses with his, so he noticed her.
"Hi, beautiful?" The host inquired, staring lustfully at her boobs, which were visible in her dress.
"I must say, you look handsome and this ball is spectacular." Olivia beamed.
He moved closer to her and wrapped his hand around her waist. She stared at his bald head and rolled her eyes.
"You look beautiful and I already like you." He whispered. He was their next target, and she had to take him up the stairs so they would kill him.
"Let's go up the stairs boy." She whispered in his ear and licked it, screwing her face that she was seducing a man that was old enough to be her father.
A waiter walked over to them.
"Sir, the other guests want to have a word with you." A bodyguard announced.
"Let them wait. I have something important to do." The host said, walking away with Olivia.
They walked up the stairs. Jasmine spotted them and recognized the dress Olivia was wearing. She was the same lady who she saw with Leonardo. She quickly followed them up the stairs, careful not to make a sound.
Olivia opened a darkroom in the mansion and held the man's hand, trying to haul him into the room.
"We can't go in there, it's too dark. Switch on the lights." The man complained.
"I am your light." She said with an evil grin and pushed him into the room.
