"Good thing he is here!" She commented, staring at him as he grabbed the robber by the collar and started hauling him towards her. Caleb tossed the robber to the floor in front of Jasmine. The robber fell flat on his face. A smile curved across her face as she squatted in front of the thief. "You thought you could run, didn't you?" She whined and put a handcuff around his hand. "You came right on time." Jasmine beamed, staring at Caleb. "You want to be a hero, but you don't have all the equipment," Caleb whined. Handing her the bag of jewels. "I just forgot to reload my gun. That's all." She whined. A citizen ran to them. "I believe this belongs to you." Jasmine beamed and handed the citizen the jewellery bag. "Thank you so much, ma'am." The citizen beamed and scurried away. "Let's take him to the station," Caleb stated, and lifted the robber from the floor. "Move it, bonehead." Caleb cursed and hit the robber on the head as they all walked towards the car. "Didn't you call the police department?" Jasmine inquired as she opened the car for him. "I did, but they aren't here yet," Caleb replied. "Don't you find it strange?" She asked, with her brow slightly raised. "Maybe a little." He replied and got into the car. Jasmine pushed the robber to the other edge of the car and sat next to him. "Your car keys." Caleb demanded, extending his hand to her. "It's right there in the glove compartment." She replied flatly. Caleb took out the key, turned it on the car, and drove off. Caleb saw a lot of people gathered in front of a mansion in the roadway. They were obstructing his way. He parked the car at the side of the road. "Why did you stop?" Jasmine inquired. "There is a mob ahead," Caleb said, and stepped out of the car. Jasmine's phone started buzzing in her suit pocket. She took out her phone and stared at the robber. "Butt out!" She commanded and also stepped out of the car. She walked to the other side of the car and dragged the robber out of it. She took out her phone. "Hello, is this detective Jasmine?" The person on the other end inquired. "Yes, how may I help you?" Jasmine questioned. "There is a murder at Jonathan Tran's mansion." The person said, and hung up. "Hello, who the f**k are you?" She inquired, staring at her phone. "Hey Jaz, look over here. I think there is a crisis and we are needed." Caleb said, staring at a bunch of uniforms standing in front of the building of a famous politician in the city. "There has been a murder," Jasmine stated. "Let's go check it out." Caleb stated, walking towards the mansion. Jasmine hauled the robber through the crowd with Caleb. "Welcome detective Caleb," a cop in his mid-thirties welcomed them standing with a cop. "There has been a murder, the cold-blooded murder of Jonathan Tran," he informed. "But this dude you guys are talking about has massive security. How is that even possible? I believe he belongs to you." Jasmine said, handing the robber to him. "What's his crime?" Kelvin inquired. "We found him just a few blocks away stealing jewelry." Caleb answered. Jasmine lifted the crime tape above her head and walked into the crime scene. One of the uniforms who had answered the initial call stood by the front door, logging in everyone who entered the crime scene. She shoved her hand into her back, took out a pen and a notebook, and started taking notes just as Caleb caught up to her. There were droplets of blood at the entrance of the house, and bodyguards were standing at the side. "Jesus Christ!" Jasmine screamed as her gaze landed on a dead guy on the floor. His head was bashed apart like a rotten cauliflower. She stepped on his scattered brain on the floor. "Well, s**t!" Caleb muttered as he looked down upon the man. Blood was sprayed across the floor, tainting the air with a metallic scent. The body was ridden with scars and wounds in the shapes of magical runes. Jasmine squatted at the level of his body, taking notes. The man's eyes were wide open, and she noticed his pocket was swollen. "Caleb, where is the coroner's investigator?" Jasmine asked, stepping gingerly around the body. No one could check the dead body's pockets until the CI had finished his or her business. "She is on her way, I guess," Caleb stated. Jasmine got up on her feet. "I wonder who would want to kill someone like him, and the person succeeded," Jasmine muttered. "This naughty old politician, I know, he must have caused his own death." Caleb cursed. A young man in a blue shirt approached them with thunderous footsteps. Caleb felt like the man must be a very powerful person to get into the crime scene and bowed his head, extending his hand to him. The man just stared at his hand without taking it. "I am the son of the naughty old politician," he announced. Caleb's face flushed. "I never meant to say that. Trust me, we will get to the bottom of this. We treat all our clients the same," Caleb assured. "My condolences for your loss, Mr. Tran." Jasmine said. "I'm sorry you heard that." She added. "I want you guys to find the asshole that killed my father and get back to me." Mr. Tran declared. "We will do that. There is not a homicide cop better than us." Jasmine assured. Mr. Tran stared at his dad on the floor and blinked back the tears in his eyes, then sauntered away. "He was cool, although you have to say stupid things, bonehead, when will you learn to shut your mouth hole?" Jasmine scolded Caleb and elbowed him. A hot brunette ran into the crime scene and took out latex gloves from her bag and put them on. She squatted in front of the dead body and started taking out everything that was in his pocket. She saw a card and drew it out. As she glanced at it, "Devil's breed" was boldly written on it. "What the hell is that?" Jasmine inquired.
