They went into the woods, going up hill, passing some obstacles in the way which were nothing for Eunrae, but of course it was a big matter for Jimin.
With her agility, Eunrae had no problems at passing what seemed to be obstacles for Jimin. She was already used to walking in this type of environment. While the city boy, he really needed to polish his skills. Walking around the city didn't take so much effort to do; a contrary to woods. the muddy ground and some tree roots were enough to make him suffer.
The contrast between their expressions were too different. Eunrae skipped along happily while passing the so called obstacles, jumping here and there to prevent herself from damaging the plants around them. She was so cheerful just like a harmless five-year-old girl. Her braided pigtails just made her look way more innocent. However, on the other side, Jimin tripped over the roots several times already but thankfully, Eunrae was there to help him.
As they reached the end of the woods, Jimin's expression brightened up, rushing towards the light and left Eunrae behind. He was too excited to breathe in the fresh air and let the sunlight embrace his body. He plopped himself above the young grasses, folding his arms and placed it behind his nape, gazing at a group birds soaring in the blue sky. The fact that he was on the top of a hill allowed him to enjoy the tranquility of the village even more.
"Enjoying the scenery?" a voice softly spoke, causing Jimin to snap from his daydreams. He sat up and fixed his postures before looking at Eunrae.
Jimin tilted his head in confusion as his eyes landed on the flowers Eunrae held on her arms. "What are those?" Jimin pointed at a bundle of purple flower.
"Oh, these? these are lavender." She picked on of them and swung it on her hand. A smile crept on her face as the scent from her favourite flower fused with her nose. "I am surprised you don't know lavender. I wanted to give this to you," she said and handed the flowers to Jimin.
Although he was clueless about the situation, Jimin took the flowers and examined it. somehow, the soothing purple colour piqued his interest already. "What for?" he asked, lifting up his head.
"Well, it seems like you have problems with mosquito so lavender is actually a good solution. If you put the bundle in your room, it can act as a bug repellent. It also has a calming effect that can help you to sleep too. It's actually my favourite flower!" she explained while Jimin bobbed his head, slightly excited to learn a new thing. He never knew lavender had those functions.
"Thank you, Eunrae."
