Kai was excited for her, until her remembered something and it had a scary thought go through his mind. This DNA would not be human once they took a closer look and the human world needed to be saved from the dark world, his dark world. There was a time that humans were aware of the creatures that lurked in the shadows and it nearly destroyed the world we walked in. That was why they had decided to leave them as stories and hunters were created. They kept the monsters at bay and kept the humans from living in fear. That could not happen again, so when Scar went running to confront David he had to make sure that he was in fact the creature he was looking for.
