The scorching sun was almost unbearable, Adim had to walk closely under shades.
It was lunch time and she strolled down her bestfriend's office so they could have lunch together.
Her bestfriend worked as a curator in an art gallery; a block away from her office, while worked as an accountant in a very big company.
"Hi. Is Archer in?" She asked the receptionist even though she knew Archer was around, just for courtesy. The receptionist was a fine young lady.
"Yes but I think he went that way" She pointed at the direction of the restroom
"The customer's restroom?" Adim clamored in surprise. The receptionist nodded, smiled meekly.
Suddenly a familiar voice spoke from behind, "Wooooo young lady. Nice jacket, you look fabulous today".
Adim rolled her eyes, pouted and turned to face Archer.
"I know right" she said sarcastically "by the way, what were you doing in that toilet, what happened to your office restroom".
"Concerned?" he grinned at her but she kept a mean face "Inspection is part of my job, a customer complained yesterday".
Archer's smile is her weak point, they have been friends from college but Adim has started developing feelings for him. She was too scared to express herself not to ruin their friendship, wishing that one day he would catch feelings for her.
Archer is a very charming young man with a lovable personality. One thing Adim loved most about him was his shrewd personality and great sense of contentment.
"Well it's lunch time, let's go" Adim said
Archer replied calmly "I am not hungry Adim"
She loosened up her stern gestures "please I don't want to eat alone".
"You know I am busy with this show that's coming up. I barely have time to think of food. OK fine, I will order food for you. Straight to your office, but please....ehm" he extended his arms to Adim "let's go sit in my office. I would need your company to work".
Adim hissed, waving off his arms and said "Forget it. I will just go back to my office. Add smoothie to whatever you want to order" walking away and heading to the door.
"What would you like to eat then" Archer asked.
"That's your business" She opened the door and left. Archer smiled, then turned to the receptionist and said
"Tell the cleaner to show up on my desk now". He turned and walked away.
