Fear lodged into me as I didn’t stray my eyes away from the burnt butterfly, afraid that I lose my gaze at it, it will disappear. I can feel my heart beat against my chest, the sweat at the back of my neck, and my knees turning numb by the way I was sitting on it.
“Athena… I’m almost there my Luna” Hearing Xavier’s comforting voice made me calm down a bit, I fisted and unfisted my hand on the ground in front of me. I was even scared of blinking my eyes, scared of loosing sight of it, but even then, it didn’t go.
