His Bet

Meeting Daniel Green

I was nervous to enter the building in front of me which was Beallsville High School in Ohio. The only reason why I am even standing in front of the school is because my dad decided to move us here after the triplets left back to Italy for college. The only two good things about coming to this school is that there are trees surrounding us, lots of nature and of course Ashley my best friend is attending this school but she doesn't know I am here. 

The last time I saw Ashley was during our weekend we spent together which was three weeks ago. During that time I was starting to pack to move, but now that I am here I just wish I could go back to how things were before. 

As I am walking trying to find the office there are very little students just walking around, after about 5 minutes of just walking around I give up and ask someone for the directions to the office. The good thing was that there was a supervisor walking around and he gave me the directions to find the office. 

"Go straight, then turn left and the office should be to the right." He said 

"Thank you." I replied 

As I followed his directions I arrived to the office, there was a woman that probably looked like she was in her early to mid 30s, very short brown hair, typing way on the computer. As soon as I reached her she looked up to me and smiled. 

"Good morning, my name is Amber Star and I am here to pick up my schedule." I said kinda nervous

"Good morning, yes we have been expecting you, so this is your schedule and some forms your parents have to sign make sure you bring them back to me when they are signed, as for your books you still have 15 minutes until class starts so you can go to the back of the school room 342. Right their their will be a lady to give you your books." she said

"Thank you so much and I'll bring the forms back probably tomorrow." I replied back to her as I made my way to the back of the school. 

Two minutes of walking to the back of the school I see room 342. When I walked in the their was a lady that looked Asian, but very pretty I must say. 

"Good morning my name is Amber and I can to pick up some books." I said

"Can I see your schedule real quick." she replied

I handed her my schedule and she just looked at it and left to the back, after two minutes she came back and gave me all the books I needed. I said a quick thank you and left to find my locker.

As I was walking in the hallways I looked down to my schedule to see what locker number I got, as I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking I accidentally bumped into someone. Making me drop the papers and the books I was caring. 

"I am so sorry. I didn't see where I was walking." I quickly said to the person I bumped into 

"That's okay, here let me help you." He said   

As he was helping me pick up the papers he got my schedule and looked at it. 

"So I guess you're new here." He said

"Yeah, and not going to lie I can't seem to find my locker." I said while standing up to look at him

"Well I can help you if that's okay with you. By the way my name is Daniel Green." He said while extending his hand out to me

"My name is Amber Star, and yes I would like your help." I replied while shaking his hand

All he did was smile at me and showed me to my locker. But as we were walking I can't help myself but wonder where have I seen him before because he looks like someone I meet in middle school before I moved schools for my last year. 

"Daniel I can't help but wonder if we have meet before, because you look like someone I meet in middle school before I moved." I said to him as we came to a stop at my locker

"Well Amber it took you long enough to finally recognize me and not going to lie I am glad to see you again." he said while smiling at me 

"Well it's good to be back, but I must say you did change a lot from the time I was gone." I said while getting my locker opened and putting in all my books except my math book since I was going to need it. 

"You did miss about 2 years of not seeing me and you also changed because you don't have your glasses anymore, no more acne, got taller and not going to lie you look beautiful." he told me 

But before I could reply the bell rang and I got tackled by someone so familiar. 

"You f***ing b**ch what are you doing here, you told me you were moving!" Ashley shouts at me as we both get up from the floor

"Not to interrupt or anything but the bell rang and we need to get to class and since I saw Amber's schedule we both have the first four classes together, so Ashley go to class and we will all see each other during lunch. Bye." Daniel said while talking my hand and leading the way to first period which is math and I really love math. 

"See you in lunch Ashley!" I scream as I walk with Daniel to our first class 

When we arrive to our first class Daniel let's go of my hand and I make my way to the teacher's desk. 

"Good morning my name is Amber and I am new." I say to the teacher 

"Well good morning I am Mr. Patterson and I am going to be your AP math teacher, you can take whatever seat you want." Mr. Patterson said to me 

As I looked around their was still students walking in, so I decided to take a seat next to Daniel. Hopefully he won't mind me sitting next to him. 

"So I see you are sitting next to me." Daniel said to me while smiling 

"Yup, I am because I don't know anyone here apart from you." I said back to him

He didn't get to respond back to me because the bell rang and the class got started, the good thing was that the teacher didn't say anything about me being new to the school which I was thankful for.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly I saw Ashley again during lunch and just talked about why I didn't get any classes with her and the only reason was that I had all AP classes and she didn't even have one AP class and I also didn't have P.E. because I took it during the summer and I will do it again during this upcoming summer. The other classes I got are English, Science, History, French and a business tech class. 

At the end of the day my dad came to pick me up and let's just say he didn't like the fact that Daniel was with me and my luck will worsen when my brothers call my parents and my dad will tell them about Daniel and the feeling he has about him. 

I just hope that everything will be good and my brothers won't freak out but I know they will when they hear about Daniel and will probably get the same feeling my dad got. Because my dad will move me schools again or he will even send me back to Italy will my brothers. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
