James Kingsley the CEO of Kingsley group and The owner of the biggest world wide casino club.
He sat and wondered why he offered a girl he knows nothing about, ten thousand dollars. Even if it was pocket change to him, he wondered what drew him to her.
He called his assistant and asked him to run a background check on Rebecca.
His assistant was surprised, because this is the first time he's asking for a womans details.
"Okay boss" The Assistant nodded.
"And the casino, I'll be visiting there this night, inform the managers" Mr Kingsley said.
"Okay boss, is there any other thing i can do for you" Assistant Luke asked.
"Nothing for now, just give me every details of her, that's all i want for now" He said.
"Okay sir" He responded. "And the meeting for the ten billion naira contract starts by 10:00am tomorrow" He added.
"Okay" Mr Kingsley responded. "You can leave now" he added.
Mr Kingsley left his office to the casino club, he really wanted to see what was going on. When he got there, he sat at the VIP lounge.
The thought of Rebecca came, he smiled. He has never smiled this much for a lady.
He called her boss and asked him to bring her to his casino club.
But the response he got, got him disappointed.
"I fired that b***h" her boss said.
"You fired what!" Mr Kingsley responded angrily.
"I fired that stupid virgin b***h, Mr Kingsley, don't waste your money on that little slut, I've got other girls that can satisfy you at every itch and any time you want" He responded.
"Don't you ever call her a b***h" Mr Kingsley warns "Where is she?" He asked.
"I don't know, she left immediately" He lied.
"If you don't find that lady for me, I'll make sure i fold that little bar of yours, stupid fool" Mr Kingsley warned angrily, and ends the call.
Her boss got so scared, he knows how Mr Kingsley is, he knows the level of power he has, he knows that with just a flip of fingers, he's fortunes are all gone.
He sent his security guards to find her, he knows she wouldn't have gone far.
"Don't come back, if you don't see her" he informed the securities.
Mr Kingsley on the other side, stared at his phone angrily, he almost smashed it.
"How can that low life fire her" he thought.
"But why am i overthinking this?, why am i angry?.. is not suppose to be my business" he said to himself.
His phone rings.
He's assistant is calling.
He picks.
"Hello sir" the assistant spoke.
"What's the update" Mr Kingsley asked.
"I've sent you the details of Miss Rebecca" He said.
"Okay, I'll review them" Mr Kingsley responded.
"Can i help you with any other thing sir" Assistant Luke asked.
"Yes, i want you to track Rebecca's location now and inform the manager of my casino club to offer her a job, her pay should be five thousand dollars" He said.
"Five thousand dollars is much for a daily gig sir, we could offer lesser" He responded.
"Just do as i say" Mr Kingsley says.
"Okay sir" Assistant Luke responded.
Call ends.
Mr Kingsley started checking the file that contains the details of Rebecca.
He read on how her parents died, her grandmother and the most annoying part her best friend and boyfriend.
The boyfriend aspect, annoyed him the most, he found out that she's has been sponsoring his life and he's busy cheating on her with her best friend.
He felt bad for her.
His mean and serious self, left at that moment.
His phone rings again.
The assistant is calling.
He picks.
"Hello sir, I've tracked her" He said.
"Where is she?" Mr Kingsley asked.
"She's is at No 2, Wema Street" He said. "And I've sent someone to pick her up" he added.
"That's okay, good job" he applauded.
"Thank you sir" He appreciates. "I've informed the manager about the job position and he has created a spot for her"
"Okay, I'm there, just make sure, she doesn't know i did it for her"
"Okay sir"
Call ends.
Mr Kingsley smiles as he stares at his phone.
Rebecca walked aimlessly, tears dropping from her eyes.
A car flashed light on her.
She was scared.
They drop from the car.
"Miss Rebecca please get into the car" the driver asked, politely.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"You will know, when you get there" He said, and opens the door.
"I can't" she said.
"You have to, you know it's not safe out here and my boss is worried"
Rebecca looked around, she understoodd the nature of the environment when it gets this late.
There has been so many r**e case in the area.
"Okay" she said.
She enters the car.
They drove off to the casino club.
She was surprised, this is the biggest casino, why will they bring her there.
The car stops.
The driver came down and opened the door for her.
"You can go in miss" he said, leading her towards the direction.
She got inside and was surprised to see the manager walking up to her.
"Miss Rebecca" he called.
"Yes sir" she responded.
"You have a job offer as a bar attendant at our casino" he said.
"Really" she screamed inside of her, almost in tears.
"Your pay is five thousand dollars daily" he added.
This offer sounded suspicious. Why will they offer much.
Rebecca looked at him.
"You're really offering me this" She asked.
"Yes" he said.
He gives her the letter.
"Resume tomorrow, by 8:30pm" he said.
"Okay sir, thank you"
"You don't have to" he said.
He leaves.
Elena stared at the letter, even if the job offer came strangely, it was something that will change her life.
Atleast she can help her grandmother, Charles, school bills and living expenses.
