The tuition deadline

After the confrontation from charles, Rebecca got a call from the Harvard University, that she will lose her admission if no payment is been made. Everything was coming to her at full force, like Newton third law. For every action, there's an equal or opposite reaction. It was 10pm, the clouds were already covered in darkness, Rebecca rushed back to the hospital, she needs to be there with her grandmother and monitor the surgery progress before going to work. She was suppose to go to be at stripe club with such generous help she got and to thank Mr Kingsley for saving her grandmother life, but granny hasn't woken up yet. "Granny, I'll make sure i keep you alive" she said quietly, staring at her grandmother until she dozed off. By 12 mid night, Grandma woke up, she stared at Rebecca and then tapped her. Rebecca jerked She looked at her grandmother in excitement, she didn't know how to express the joy she had in her. She hugged her grandmother in tears. "Grandma" she said quietly. "Becca" As she usually called "My Princess, don't be sad, grandma is okay" Grandma responded with a smile on her face. She was very happy to see her grand daughter again. There was nothing that could suppress that joy in her. She knows how hard it has been for Rebecca. She hugged her, and they both cried together. Grandma broke the joyful moment with a question. "How about Charles" Grandma asked. Rebecca bent her eyee, she was too ashamed to look at her grandmother. She's know how her grandma dislikes Charles and didn't want to talk about him. "Becca" "Grandma he's fine" She said quietly. "Fine you say, you know I don't like that boy" "Grandma, he loves me" She responded. "That's isn't love my dear, that's not what or where i want you to be" "He does grandma, he's just going through a rough time" "Rough time" Grandma coughed. "Grandma please, you need rest, we will talk about it some other time" "Becca, i know he's mad at you, you are in so much pain my baby girl, he's not worth all of this" Grandma advised. "Okay grandma, I've heard you, just rest" "I've been resting for 8 hours now, I'm tired of resting" Grandma responded. "Ohhhhhh, i forgot to call the doctor" Rebecca said, as she rushed quickly to call the doctor. She walked back into the room with the doctor. The doctor check her grandmother pulse, and other necessary things and everything was normal. "The Surgery was a success, no complications" He said "But if you notice something unusual, do well to inform the nurses" He left. "Grandma, did you here that" Rebecca asked. "Yes princess, I'm not a baby" Grandma responded. "I won't be around by the time you wake up tomorrow morning" Rebecca said. "Work, you have to rest my dear" Grandma said worriedly. "Rest shouldn't be a word for me now, Grandma" Rebecca looked at her grandmother, she doesn't want to worry her, telling her about her she got the ten thousand dollars for the surgery, and Charles request, and School admission, was going to do more harm, she just smiled. A got a beep on her phone, she checked. Harvard university: The call that was made earlier was to inform you about the consequences of lack of payment. This message is to inform you that your deadline for payment is on the 26th October, 2026. Failure to do so, admission will be cancelled. Signed by management. It is 19th October, she has just 7 more days, to get the money. She looked at her phone and smiled, she didn't want her grandma to notice, grandma is too old to worry. It's time to triple her hustle. She looked her grandma, kissed her goodnight and slept off.
