Field Work at Essanem
The receptionist at Essanem Studios did not live up to my preconceived notions. I'd never visited a porno movie company before, but I'd imagined a sleazy outfit, a ragtag troupe of gypsies and con artists, like something out of the old movies about carneys. So I'd expected her to be either a stripper past her prime who had worn out her welcome in front of the camera, or a young intern working as a part-time fluffer while she lobbied (or back-doored) for her Big Break.
