CHAPTER 27GHOSTS Ryan took his leave of the near-spectral librarian and hurried home. After a cursory greeting for Kelly and the girls, he headed for a desktop computer in the study and slammed the door shut. There he sat, right through dinner, and right through the girls’ bedtime routine. Hour after hour, he sifted his way through New Bethany’s history, searching for threads that he hoped would lead to the identities of his many visitors.
