I sat down upon my bed and thought about how the new timeline was playing. Axel seemed perplexed by my behavior already. I needed him and my father to believe me an i***t to the very end. That had been my downfall after all.

Flashback

‘Reina I don’t like this maybe we should head back’ my wolf warned as I walked along the corridor to the kitchen. ‘Jay I can smell Axel, he’s down here but his scent is off. We cant just ignore it’ she growled in my head but knew that I was right. I turned the corner and heard some voices.

“Axel, please we must stop. Anything could happen at this moment my love.” An unknown person whispered.

“Baby we have all the time in the world. She’s asleep. I know it pains you when I’m with her but remember you’re my true queen.” I heard the unmistakable voice of my Axel. However I felt no betrayal pains.

“Yes my love. We’ll be at the top once her pack is gone. They’re merely a thorn.” I knew without question she was speaking of me. I tried to back up without making a noise but I heard the scrape of my shoe and knew with their hearing it was impossible to ignore

I turned to face my husband and his mistress with the utmost dignity. I expected many apologies and excuses but nothing that came from him.

“Well baby I guess you’ll be queen sooner than expected. We’ll have to speed things along.” She gave a nod and a sinister smile.

‘Reina there’s a strange smell I can’t-‘ then the scene went black.

End flashback

I knew without Jay that Liam as never my mate. He was that girls. Ana. I hadn’t seen her before that night and never again until my execution. She seemed to know all pieces of the puzzle. I’d need to watch out for her.

Once jay came I knew I’d feel mate tingles and the awe. This time I wouldn’t fall for it. This time I would find a witch to enchant me from it. I wouldn’t allow myself to lean into him.

I laid down upon my head and thought of my mother. This timeline would likely change now but I already knew my fathers next move. I’d just need to intercept. I fell asleep with those thoughts swirling around my head.
