CHAPTER 5: Let's End this neatly without trouble

Chapter 5

Nichole looked at him in disbelief. "Wha...What?" 

 Henry walked over to her and tilted his head. "Wait, am I wrong? I thought it was your birthday today? " Nichole laughs at him sarcastically. 

"Ha, have you gone mad?" Have you eaten something wrong? You are acting in a strange way."

But he couldn't help himself as he stared awkwardly at the girl in front of him embarrassed. "You! You're making fun of me, aren't you? ''

 She grins. "Me? No, no. How could I tease the great Henry unless I want to die."

 "You!"

 "What? Should I say "thank you"? " 

 "Do not ..." 

"Well .. thanks for congratulating me on my most unfortunate, hated long birthday... I didn't expect the workaholic and great pretender Great Magnus which is you remembered my birthday despite me being a troublesome badass and cold-hearted fellow to you. Well, what can I say? I'm a real badass. Yet even I hated your face and felt unlucky, I'm really very grateful to you. " 

 "Wait. When did I become a workaholic and a great pretender? You are describing someone, not me!" 

"It's you." She smiles and says. "In my point of view.."

 "Is that a joke? It's not funny. I didn't know you hate my good-looking face and felt unlucky. Where are you from to not appreciate these rare looks?"

She closed her eyes and rubbed her eyebrows thoughtfully. She can no longer bear Henry praising himself. "You're so childish and pain in the ass, I hate that." 

 "So are you saying you hate pain?" He wondered.

 "Yes?" 

 "You're lying." 

 She couldn't contain the sarcastic thought in her head. "What the heck are you talking abou--" Henry cut her off. 

"The truth is, you like the pain. You like it because you believed you deserve to be in pain. Am I right? He said calmly, looking into Nichole's eyes.

She's surprised and didn't see that coming, she couldn't speak for a moment. She looks at him suspiciously, wondering if he knows something she didn't even realize herself, but once again she acts normally like it wasn't a matter for her. "Your acting really weird." 

 "Don't look at me all surprise, you know that I'm a weird person that hard to read." 

 She rolled her eyes heavenward. "Whatever, I'm leaving."

 "Wait!"

 "What. Again?"

"Are you really gonna leave without asking me the question you've been dying to ask me?" 

 "Do I?" She pondered. 

 "Come on, ask me."

 "But I really don't have anything to ask you." 

 "That's impossible, you haven't met the other masters, have you?" The corners of his eyes were crinkled.

 "I am planning to meet them now, but you keep delaying me." 

"Don't go. You already accept mine." He muttered. 

"Why should I?"

 "They'll assign you to another mission, and it was actually a life-threatening situation." 

"What mission is it? Tell me." She asked curiously.

 He glanced at her. "Haven't Sky informed you? I'm sure her master has already told her to recruit you to their side."

 She shook her head. "No, I've already told her that I won't take anyone's sides. It's troublesome." 

"I know you would say that, but the organization accepts such a strange request from someone and that is to spy on the president and give in confidential information." He explained without blinking. 

"President?"

 "Yes, the president of this country .."

"Holly fu--"

She glared at him and lean closer to him, enough to hear her words. "Are they insane?! It's too dangerous to spy on a president! They were only digging their own graves. Who's f*****g s**t approve of that mission?"

 "It's Allison." 

"A-Alisson? Master William's daughter? That rude, self-centered girl?"

"Absolutely." 

She sighed and think for a while.

 "Oh, so was that b***h who planned all this?" A familiar voice spoke, turned, and saw Sky giving off a dark aura all around her.

 She looks at Sky. "What are you doing here Sky?" Nichole asks her, but she ignores her and walks past her. 

"Did I heard wrong Great Magnus?" Sky asks. Henry and Nichole look at each other before responding to Sky.

"No, no. You didn't, and actually, she already chose 5 people to accomplish that mission." He said and continue. " I thought you already know about it?" 

 "No, they didn't tell me, they said I should only do what was ordered for me to do and that was to make Reine join force to us. Let me guess, Reine, Dark, and I were part of this right?"

 "Correct, but since Reine accept my proposal... It's up to her to decide to partake in the president's mission." He admitted. 

 Nichole was silent for a while, as several thoughts ran through her mind when her phone suddenly ring. She looks at her phone and didn't expect to see her ex's name on it. 

 "Answer it," Henry said, with a stern look to his face... 

"Don't answer that bastard Reine.." Sky warned her. She didn't answer his call instead, she turned off her phone. 

"I, I need to tell you something.." She begins..

 "What is it?" Henry asks.

 "It's just occurred to me but, the president of this country you're talking about is ... Jack's father." 

"What?!" They both shouted in surprise.

 "Why didn't you tell me, Reine?" 

"I only met him once, when Jack introduced me to his family… And he really is a man with a generous heart."

 "It's good that he's not like his son…" Sky commented.

"Actually, he and his wife weren't on good terms, they were planning on getting a divorce and they were all in the news," Henry announced. 

"Oh, like father and son." 

 "Sky, we didn't know what happened to them," Nichole warned her to stop judging Jack's father. 

"Yeah, they are both jerks." She mumbled enough for Nichole to hear her. 

"Sky." She spoke her name furiously. 

"Fine. I'll shut up." 

Nichole grabbed Sky to her side and turned to Henry. "Henry, I'll call you later, send me the details about the contract. Sky and I need to go somewhere." She said hurriedly. 

"All right."

After the long conversation, Nichole and Sky left his office and was escorted by those guards outside. As soon as they are out, Sky asks Nichole. "Where are we going?" 

She looks at her in a second and walks toward her car. "To meet Jack." 

Sky stops in front of her and lets her words sink in. "What?! Do you still wanna meet that bastard after what he did to you? You're crazy." She grunted in disbelief. 

Nichole sighed and walked over to her. "It's not what you think okay? I want to end our relationship neatly without trouble."

 "Ehem, really?" Sky eyes narrow down. 

"Yes.. That's why I want you to bring along with me, so I won't feel alone." She professed.

“Then we have to show him that you're not the same girl he knows Reine. Cheating on you is the dumbest decision he has ever made in his entire life." 

"Do we need to do that?"

 "Of course! This is part of our revenge." 

"But.." Nichole hesitate.

"Don't. Remember, he chose the sweetest flowery words to win and get your heart, and the most bitter poisonous action to destroy you and break your heart. So don't hesitate Nichole." Sky said before getting into Nichole's car.

Jack and Nichole plan to meet up at the nearby coffee shop Nichole used to work in. They stopped by first to  Sky house to change their attires before meeting him, Sky was delighted for Nichole right decision to cut ties with Jack, since the first time Nichole introduced Jack to her she has an uneasy feeling that he was not the one suited for Nichole, she can see no love in his eyes but the obsession he has to Nichole that would lead her to be hurt in the end, she plans to oppose them, but she has not in the right position to meddle in her love life that time and the only thing she can do was to advice her and console. And now that her guess was right, she believes this is the best time she thinks to teach him a lesson.

Sky wore a dark blue suit and topped off with a gorgeous black coat that matched her pencil skirt with her murderous high heels. Her hazel brown hair was braided down to her shoulder and light make-up made her even more dazzling. She came in business attire because she had unfinished business with him and it was to punish him for being a jerk.

"Is this the place?" Sky asks as she watches the woman who was about to get out of the car, drawing many people to look at her in awe.

Sky smiles secretly, she was so happy to have a kind gorgeous friend like her to cherish, she is so happy to meet her and become a part of her life.

 "Yes, this is the place.." She replied: Nichole was wearing a long sleeve cropped top with high waisted jeans and black boots showing off her gorgeous figure, a little accessory around her neck, ears, and wrist to match her outfit. Her black shiny hair was perfectly curled up to her waist, a simple make-up on her face made her shine more beautifully and stand out from the crowd.

"Let's go! And rock this." Sky said, excited

. As soon as they'd entered Jack's eyes were the first to catch Nichole's. He got up quickly from his seat, Sky gives him a wry smile on her face while Nichole's anger was boiling in her eyes like infernal flames, as she walked forward to him one stepped at a time, her feet felt like a lead. 

"N-Nichole, babe.." He called out to her in a softer tone. Sky cuts him off when he had to put his hands close to Nichole. 

"Oops, mind your manners, Sir, she's not your girl anymore, and she out being with relationshit with you." 

 Jack glanced at Sky with a hint of annoyance in his eye. "Why is she here with you, Nichole?" he asks.

"Because I want to be with her, Jack, I want to see how you get f****d up now compared to the last time I saw you." Sky uttered and plaster a fake smile on her face.

 Jack ignored her and put her attention to Nichole, who sat silently next to Sky. “Honey, I'm so sorry. I didn't know that you'll come home earlier at that time. I know I've hurt your heart a lot and made you cry, that's why I'm here to apologize and beg your forgiveness. Babe, please don't leave me, you know how much I love you right Hon? I know I'm still in your heart and that you love me, We can still fix this. I miss you, Nichole .. " 

"Miss me? Don't say you miss me when you didn't even try to talk to me.."

 "Nichole.." He whispers her name.

"I came here to end our ties with each other, not to listen to your stupid excuses. Don't  worry about me, my heart's not broken by you anymore all I can feel was a pity for you, Jack, you should be actually worrying about yourself, because as far as I can see.. you're still an asshole."

Sky laughs, sipping at her coffee. "Haha, she's right! Your still a stupid f*****g asshole."

Jack was embarrassed by Sky loud voice, he slams the desk and stood up. "Can you please shut your mouth, Skylar! This is not your business to interfere." He claimed.

Sky also rose from her seat and grab the cold coffee on the table and splash it on his face. "Yes, I have the right to meddle, because I am her true friend, not friend with benefits but a real friend who can understand her better than you do bastard." 

Jack stood shocked and drenched with coffee in his shirt. He looked exasperated at Sky and his anger has been completely shown on his face, this is the first time anyone has embarrassed him in public, and worse, a lot of people were laughing at him now! 

Sky glared at him and pointed her finger to Nichole who is also now standing ready to leave, they already attract too many people and cause ruckus inside of the shop. "This! This is the girl who would have done anything for you, even if it were dangerous if she could have had any guy in this whole damn world she still would gladly have picked you, that shows how much love she has for you asshole! She kept expecting because she believes in you. But you gave her up just because of your nasty desire for lust! And now she's given up on you too. How dare you say it's none of my business after hurting her ?!"
