Chapter 29: ReunitedShe emerged seven hours later, spent and sweating, and ordered water for a second bath. The servants grumbled. Twice in a day: the woman was mad. LouElla had pulled on the last of the hated clothes when she heard the front knocker. Milly twould attend. As soon as the interloper left, she would send for Miss Walls and they would go over the books. She had planned on the MacDonald's staying through February, possibly even into April. Her physical energy was spent, but her anger burned deep.
