CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE Sam McCall drove up to the main entrance of the apartment block and parked. Climbing out of her car, she caught sight of Steel leaning against the white plaster wall of the massive tower block. He wore black jeans, a strange black shirt that had only three or four buttons and what appeared to be a clerical collar, which looked stiff against his neck apart from at the front, where there was a small gap.
