It felt as if I’d woken up from a long and deep dream. My head was throbbing so much I could die. Wow, who knew someone could get a terrible hangover with just one can of beer? In my body that was used to alcohol and other stimulants, a bottle of vodka wouldn’t get me tipsy. I tried getting up, forcing myself to sit but my whole body was hurting all over. It wasn’t just my head, but my entire body was mourning in pain. My vision was still hazy, but my sight got adjusted to the place after a few blinks.
