I thought about this now and replied, “I feel that a larger governing body could do some good to simply smooth out tensions between states. I do feel, however, that the states should never be asked to give up their own governing powers to a more expansive government. I feel this would open our country up for abuse and our ability for the people to have oversight over each ruling body would greatly diminish.”
