As I stood there in complete silence now, I felt a chilled air as if someone was breathing through the door. The air gushed from the inside of the home against my face until I heard, “Benjamin! Help me! I am burning!” This voice spoke in a soft and gentle way but grew faint as the statement was finished. The voice gave me chills that ran down my body. It was almost as if I had gone completely numb. The fear grew inside of me until I heard creaking noises just behind me. I stopped and stood straight. My eyes were open-wide in their sockets. I was in terror to turn and face the creaking noise until I could feel that cold breath against the back of my neck. I turned suddenly so as to catch the thing off guard.
