I could understand now that my aunt and mother were not willing pawns in all this. It was likely that my grandfather had poisoned their minds early on in their lives. Perhaps the abuse that had been described here made them perform such evil actions. The only question that remained was why. Why continue the work of a man who abused you? No matter where I searched within the journal, I did not find an answer to this question. It seemed that my aunt now no longer cared about the reason, just that it was done.
