13 MARY The events of the evening had drawn the energy out of Mary and me. We both moved toward the farmhouse now. I held her gentle and soft hands as we walked side by side. I could feel her warmth and her love reaching out to me. In that moment, I felt that nothing could come between us. Nothing would change our love for each other. I felt everything between us now. I knew that my new wife would love to spend time together. Just the two of us, locked in a warm embrace, feeling the intoxication of our love.
