King Armand and Queen Elena arrived two days later, an entire army in tow. The local taverns were filled to the brim with soldiers as the city of Daro opened its doors to its allies.
I sat with Leela, Asha, Sakina and all the dowager queens in the drawing room, where we lounged lazily eating fruit. We’d had a gruelling training session and it was just what I needed. I had been thinking about something for the past few days and it was finally time to act upon my thoughts.
“Leela, do you know where Eli is? I need to have a word with him.”
“I can link him for you?” she offered.
“No need, child. I saw him heading into the war room with Conin, Alaric and Lucien. I believe your father is also with them,” Queen Zapada said.
