“They’re staying here?” Lucien thundered.
Mama had just told us that the three dragons present in the war had been resting in guest chambers upstairs. Including the one that had killed Mama Zapada.
“I’ll f*****g skin them alive,” he hissed.
“You will do no such thing,” Eli replied.
“How can you say that? She killed Mama Zapada,” Kai interrupted.
“She thought we had her child,” Leela said, calmly.
“She set nearly half our army alight,” Lucien retorted.
“Be calm, brother,” Eli said.
I felt the rage building in the room as Mama’s words sunk in. Eli and Leela seemed to be the only cool heads here. Even Kai, who was normally calm in situations like this, seemed to be on the edge of losing his temper.
